water cooling i5 2500k, 2 x gtx 580

ok, ive broken my cravings for a water cooling unit and are really planing to get a full on watercooled system. im gunna cool i5 2500k at 5.2 ghz, 2 x gtx 580's, stock oced to 797 on core. i got corsair graphite 600t spec white edition with mesh panel installed. so how many rads, wat kind of pump and reservoir do i need. btw wat is a silver coil? btw i have no budget

As you've got a 600t that does somewhat limit what you can do, considering those 580GTXs run hot. I cool a pair of 5970s with a quad radiator, which is going to be roughly what you need for the 580s. I guess you might be able to get it down to a thick 360mm rad but it might be a bit too warm. With regards to the CPU, I don't know what voltage you are running (I'm guessing quite high, which can damage the chips), but you will want a dual radiator for that.

You can go for a dual loop or single loop, as you have a pair of very toasty graphics chips, the CPU is going to be less tolerant to the heat from those, so you will probably want two loops. Pumpwise you should look at the DDC 18W (or a pair of them) as they are pretty reliable and have a good range of tops. The resevoir top is always a good bet unless you want to put in a different kind of resevoir. A silver coil acts as a kill coil, it prevents algae from growing in your loop. Alternatives include premixed solutions which generally have algaecide in them or alternatively using a fair bit of antifreeze in the loop.

Final point, please ensure your post is checked through for spelling, grammar etc. It makes replying uneccessarily difficult.

I think even with a skinny 240 in the roof AND a 200mm rad modded into the front of the case that it will struggle to keep the 580's at what I would call "good watercooling temps that are worth the investment" - if you are not a modder why not look at an external radiator from the likes of Watercool dude?

I've read your post elsewhere, CowMachine. I can only echo Tom's recommendation of an external solution. With no budget limitations that makes things pretty simple. Either go with a giant horker like the Mo-Ra 3 Pro, or with an external system like the AquaComputer Aquaduct 720 XT Mark IV. Just pick up a CPU block, GPU blocks, and be done with it.

Or upgrade to a bigger case if you want to go internal.

right, b4 i totaly giv up and trash my current case which i got really recently, almost a week and half ago, i thought if i could get 1 or even 2 240mm rads on the mesh ( i know its ambitious, but i think its possible ), remember here i only want performance > looks. if this doesn't work i think i might just get a huge 480mm rad on the outside of my case.

I currently have the 600t case with watercooling for 1 gtx580. I plan to add another one soon. I have a 360 rad mounted to the back of the case and I'm gonna add a another 240 on top. Doesn't look that bad actually. Heres a pic

it doesnt look bad at all to me like the way you kinda centered it. Quick question though how far from the wall is it??? looking at pic it looks very close and imho might hinder airflow I;m assuming its blowing out the back

tubing looks huge mate

Yup. I've seen people take the I5 to 5ghz on a Noctua.

Thing is man people just want it any way.

I will def WC my 680/7970, wichever turns out to be better, but my 2500k stays under 60c on a 4.3GHz oc on the lowest fan speed with a D14. I know it is not a big overclock but i don't need more.

Have a few inches there. My temps are great so I don't think its affecting it too bad. Ill try moving it away a bit and see if it makes a difference.
