Water cooled Corsair Carbide Series Air 540

Well then Tom show us how its done, were still waiting on you to do your vid. Its been what aweek and a half to two weeks and no build from you yet ,.

Ive had it since the Friday of the Festival and Ive obviously got nothing else to do..... Right? LMAO

I dont get it spend time with the front to look good.but the back is awful bro.corsair-540 not a great case too water cool.cant even stick a 360 60m rad with 240 60m rad on top.radiator's 30mm no trouble maybe 45 mm rad's.....

big LOL at that

-'not a great case too water cool' - this is a fantastic case for water cooling, one just need to think a bit and put some work in it

-thick radiators are overrated. ST30 is actually a better rad than UT60 at very low RPMs; Alphacool ST rads are great unless you have gigantic loop where restriction may be an issue; rad area is much more important than thickenss

-don't like it, don't buy it :)

-please stop repeating yourself - we already know that you think this build is awful because of the cables in the back

- a small request - can you please post a pic of your beautiful build with a perfect cable management? I think it will have a great educational value for all folks here - please feel free to use this thread

so much anger and hate in this thread...

Love the build regardless of the cable management that will come in time and when you get around to it otherwise i think its a great build

All the guy wanted to do was show off his shiny rig. I personally think he did an excellent job.

Big deal he had a some cables behind the motherboard tray - which imo shows a weakness in the case.

Sometimes you guys are too negative with new members, lead by example.

I was looking at this every time I checked the forums thinking about pulling the trigger on an Air 540. You packed a hell of a lot more bad ass water cooling hardware in than I will for a long time and managed to pull off a blue colour scheme and make it look fresh :( don't let a little constructive criticism put you off posting.

Oh cmon you deleted everything? Why? Cause of some negative and constructive criticism? No one here is perfect, most of us have been into pc's for years and still do silly mistakes. If you were happy with it you should have left it as is, it's your rig after all. But if you posted it on here everyone must have guessed that you want the community's opinion on your rig, and the cables were kind of a major flaw, personally I think you should have learned from it and try to do your best instead of just giving up completely.

I have no issue with criticism, especially that I'm beginner when it comes to water cooling and case modding (just 3 water cooled builds completed, with some modding on 2).

Having Tom telling me to get to work and do the cables is fine (even tough the rig is not finished) - I have great respect for his skills, plus this is the way Tom is :) 10 comments about the cables (after I explained this is not finished rig) - this is just boring, especially if a guy repeats himself (this is awful, this is awful...)

This forum is OK, but probably just not for me. All the best mates.
BTW - I'm not giving up, the build is in a good shape and progressing.

Good to hear that mate, I understand the feeling some people just don't read the comments and post repeated things that have been repeated for countless amount of times. Tom is probably familiar with this especially on youtube.

Dude I had a similar experience over at another forum. I asked a simple question (this was a few years ago) and BAM - they seemed to descend on me like a hungry mob. I haven't posted there since...

But don't let that put you off posting here, we are generally a friendly lot.

imo people get hung up on these tiny details and are just not able to see the big picture. ffs people - stop shoutin the mantra cables & ODD - and come up with your own constructive criticism.
