wait or switch?

Hi guys.

As you may or may not know I have on order a photon 170 pump and res combo.

I have just heard from the supplier that this unit is out of stock with no eta on when they are coming in.

The same supplier does have the pump and res available separately however, but I don't think they can be manually combined if purchased separately.

The question is: should I switch for the res/pump as separate units, or should I just wait and see if the out of stock units arrive before christmas?

I'm pretty sure you can combine them if you buy them separately dude? why wouldn't you be able to?

It's just a pump and a top with a res attached...

Be that as it may, xspc don't tell us which top they use, nor do my supplier sell any xspc tops...

Sub, not as far as I can tell, no. But I could be wrong.

Greenback, not in uk, and shipping to Australia kills my wallet.

So are you saying you can get the tube, and the pump, but not the bit that goes between?

I see, okay. I thought you meant you could get the res with top as an item, then the pump. But in that case.. I'd just wait it out as sourcing the in-between bit will be likely just as difficult.

Speak to specialtech though, they're a good bunch and might be able to help.

Thanks Sub. In retrospect I probably could have been more clear in what I was saying.

Edit: another option would be to simply skip having the top.

Purchase the res and pump, place them independently and connect them with a hose and then call it a day...

To be honest though, I'm not sure what impact that would have on the aesthetics of the loop. ..
