hi guys i got a VTX3D Radeon HD 7870 Tahiti and i'm having some issues with it i was hoping if you guys could help?

every time i turn the pc on it's only showing half the bios screen is missing and windows start up, but when i'm in windows it's fine, just can't really do any of the bios stuff

any ideas??

Is that a TV or a Monitor?
I had exactly the same problem with my old P8P67 when using my HDTV as a monitor. Never found a fix though, the only way I could make it smaller was to use a feature my TV had to make the picture smaller or larger and move it left and right.

I've had the same issue with AMD cards on a TV. It's the TV not recognising the resolution at start up, that's all.

Once you get to your desktop the drivers have loaded and the resolution changes to match the TV.

Unfortunately, not a lot tbh.

You may be able to run off integrated graphics to adjust BIOS settings?

Then switch back when everything's configured. It's not likely you need to go into the BIOS every time you start your PC.

My mate has exactly the same problem with his TV and 7850.

TVs are a lot stricter about inputs than monitors. Mostly because they cost a lot less than the comparative monitor. My TV isn't even a full 1920x1080. I have to change the Nvidia control panel to something like 1756x980.
