Has anybody got any experience of modding a case with a VFD, not the standard 5 1/4 mounting kits you can buy but by buying a screen and using that. Have seen one such like basic unit which can be programmed, just wanted to know if any one has used this or a similar type unit.
There seem to be some very cheap VFD basic units out there but they talk about with and without controllers?!
I was a Senior Software Engineer and Technical Team Leader so the programming side is no problem but the hardware side, now that's another matter.
Any help welcome.
