VESA Desk Arm

Looking for a desk mounted monitor arm for my Ultrawide to clean up my desk a little, The stand is sturdy as a house but it looks like Megatrons jockstrap, XG35VQ.

Without the stand the monitor weighs in at roughly 10KG/22lb and is 35", Looking for something that is secure and can move easily as well as clean looking, Budget is £100 but can go higher if the quality justifies it.

I used this on my PG348Q, which is also a heavy monitor. Its lasted years without any fatigue at all.
All I did was fold it back on itself. So the arm went 90degreese to the right, and the next part of the arm then going back to the left, so 180degrees

I hate those. The stand is not centered and that messes with my OCD symmetry on the table. :D

You can still have it set so the centre vesa mount is perfectly in front of the stem. Dunno how that affects OCD :D
It just means the monitor would be a little more forward to the viewer. But yeah, I get your point. I had to offset the stand on the desk so the monitor was perfectly centred.

Yea you can get it centered but you need a realy deep desk. I would rather have something like Tom's stand with flat base.

This is the one thing that irks me about the Alienware is the the wide V-shaped stand as I have a fairly shallow desk meaning I have to place my mouse mat and keyboard at rather unique positions haha.

I looked at getting a desk arm, however, the desk I have has a really thin lip and I'm noting screwing into it so I've come to the conclusion I need a better desk! LOL.

Hopefully you won't need to go this route Dice!

The one SPS posted looks very sturdy.

Thinking about it, if your desk is always going to be where its placed.. Better to mount it to the wall infront and have a full desk of space :D

I want to do that myself, but the boss aka the other half, won't allow me :(

She did let me mount 3 guitars above my desk though :D

Here is my Vesa arm at work, slightly off centre but handling an ASUS PG348Q with no issues at all.

My desk is super sturdy but only around an inch thick, I'll be using a bit of wood between it and the clamp.

Does she own the house or something ?

We own it, but considering my love of gadgets etc, I need someone to limit me going crazy haha.

Because of quarantine, I had to turn half our bedroom into a home office, which included my 3D printer.
And my argument was that 3 guitars on floor stands takes up alot of space, so mounting them was more spacious and cleaner :)

If I had my way, our bedroom wall would look like a piece of cheese with holes everywhere haha.

Those guitars look amazing. :)

Thanks. Early last year I gave myself a choice to get a 2nd 2080ti or, splurge on a nice Ibanez 1070s :) Almost sounds like a GPU too!

This is why I couldn't live with a woman, The whole "she's the boss" thing would royally pi$$ me off.

Is what men say when the MRS isn't about

I can't complain in the slightest. She will even join me in Slipknot/Metallica or Slayer concerts when its not her type of music :D

plus... she kicks ass in Warhammer online and teaches me a thing or too. haha

I used the smaller brother of this 1 for my 27"

This says it only goes to 12KG according to Amazon your monitor is 12.2 so I'm not sure if it would support it without it slowly lowering

That's the part Dice misses, it's living with the right woman, my mrs likes sitting watching movies so we have a big stack of dvds and blu ray's, after 25 years together I think we've got that mutual respect down to a fine art

Honestly I'm way way happier alone, Way too many severely negative experiences.
