Vegard's 800D Project

...but why not show off my OCZ Agility 3 120GB SSD?

Because it's made by OCZ? If you don't know already, OCZ products are generally frowned upon here. I have no experience with the company so I don't know for myself, I'm just saying what other people (including Tom, multiple times) have said. :)

The Agility 3 Isn't the best SSD, but it's decent. I may go for two of them for Raid 0 one time. If I go for Raid. If not I'm probably buying the Samsung 840pro.

I have a Agility 3, and on the beginning was all good, but now I'm sometimes getting BSOD, and from time to time it take's 1 minute to boot the system up, when normally it less than 20 seconds. So I will say go for 840pro, if you have a choice:)

Yeah, that's probably what i'll do, I heard you loose TRIM if you raid ? My Agility 3 haven't had too many problems, but it's just quite slow for me. Tried the latest firmware and it made the boot time a little bit quicker.

My one is just dying I think..., well I have everything on backup, so when it decide to go to SSD heaven I will have to order new one:)

How many GBs is it on the next you're you going to buy? I really hate only having 120GB, can't fit BF3 on there now... I'm also sick of my Mechanical HDD, It is making so much noice and vibrations. When SSD's are cheaper i'll probably go with 500GB ones, if not 1TB if it's out at the time I can afford something like that.

1TB SSDs are out now but they are about 1 or 2 grand (USD).

I don't know yet, but 250GB minimum. What HDD you have that it makes a lot of noise? My is nice and quiet, and I does't hear any vibration, but this is thanks to mounting for hard drives.

Forgot to say when they're available in Norway, but after checking some more Crucial have one. Holy, it's expensive.

I have an old WD Green 750GB HDD. It's probably going too heaven as well. I secretly hope it dies so I can get a refund... Oh god I regret buying such a slow HDD.

Hello again lovely people. The name "Carbonized Blue" isn't really attractive... I could need some help with a new name for the build but I'm not very good with names, so help is appreciated :)
The last layer of paint have hopefully dryed soon. I'll show results tomorrow.

I think that once you finish your build it will be easier to pick the name for it:)

The paintwork is done for now... I was happy with the finish, but it could have been better.

Dont sell yourself short - nothing wrong with this build.

+1.

Besides, it's hard to judge a build when it's not finished yet as faults can still be corrected,
or imperfections worked out.

So: Keep up the good work. Personally, I'm liking what I've seen so far :)

EDIT: I saw your question in the Arctic Water build log about whether or not to cover
the Sabertooth in carbon fibre vinyl. Personally I would vote no on that. I think carbon fibre is
sort of tacky when it's used on large surfaces, plus I've always been bothered a bit when
something that's not carbon fibre is made to look like CF. But if you like it then there's
nothing stopping you, it's your build after all, and you can never please everyone anyway.
