Hi everyone,
Im currently upgrading my rig with liquid cooling, but I'm doubting between two different rads. Normally I'd choose the bigger one if possible, but because of space constriction I'm kind of worried about sound production.
Here is my situation:
Case: Corsair 600t white
Rads: Alphacool 360mm UT60 or Monsta
Fans: Corsair SP120 QE
Location: Hard drive / drive bay location
Here is the situation with the Monsta rad in place:
Now as you can see it's a perfect spot for a radiator like this. On the second picture you can see that the lower fan is covered for 40% and I'm affraid that this might create sound from the air trying to sneak past the sharp mesh.
Now the fans them self don't make a lot of sound at all but it would defeat it's purpose if you can hear the air flow through the mesh.
The other option would be to use the UT60 with a cut out fan to create some space between the mesh and the fans.
I prefer the monsta rad for both looks (and most likely preformance) but I hate to put my loop together and find this out the hard way.
