UT3 Beta Out Friday

Hey all,

They announced earlier this week on another forum that UT3 will be coming out within 2 weeks and then just yesterday announced it will be released this Friday.

I just got back from Epic moments ago and thought I'd share this little morsel with you. It looks like the Unreal Tournament 3 demo will be released this Friday. They were putting the finishing touches on it last night; didn't want to release it the same day as the Call of Duty 4 demo (Thursday), so Friday appears to be the big day for the UT3 demo. Stay tuned for the full hands-on preview after I type it up (cough)

What a week it is turning out to be for PC Gamers :D

Just an update... played the demo for about an hour now. It is great fun i was running around killing bots testing all the guns and such out. I'll definitely be buying it when it comes out.

Downloaded and played UT3 and WOW I am trully impressed, the game is incredible! I run it at 1680x1050 with everything max out and it's sooo smooth, the framerate is freaking good! And I am also using the PhysX hardware option (still have the Phynite100 card for demo) and now I can say it worth it, so I may buy the card finally.

I can beleive the difference between Crysis and UT3, with the same config I can barely play Crysis at 1280x900 with medium settings while UT3 is awesome at 1680x1050 on max settings!!!

Definitly going to get UT3 as soon as it is released!!!

Had a quick go tonight and it seems to run excellent at 1680 x 1050 but I cant find where you change any others graphics settings

Looking forward to having a bash on this....this game probably represents my first real addiction to PC Gaming. When I first started dating my lass she shared a house with fellow teachers. One of them had a nice rig...and was keen on UT. So...to cut a long story short as he left for work he shouted to me:

"Daz, feel free to use the PC".

So, an hour passed, I fired up his machine and began hunting for the UT CD. After looking through a pile of cases there it was...with a post-it stuck to it saying...

"RESPECT"

Lol....the man clearly knew I had tyhe 'gamers' eyes!! So...needless to say...I spend about 5 hours on it that very same day.

:)
