Using OCCT

I am about to enter the world of OC. I really need help in setting up OCCT before I start following your OC guide.
What setting should I use for the following system:
Gigabyte Z77X - UP7 + i3770K + 16Gb Corsair Vengeance + Gigabyte GTX 680 SOC + Windows 8 Pro
I started OCCT on the system as is, after a while the screen went black and some weird graphic streaks appeared..had reboot..
I guess maybe I set the wrong settings in OCCT..

Depends what your overclocking mate, gpu / cpu ??

I would start on cpu:linpack with avx box checked..

In options set your desired max core temp ...

Once your happy with your overclock you can then do a power supply test to make sure your psu can handle the power...

If your gonna be overclocking your gpu then you want to be using afterburner or similar then come back to occt with your overclock and do the power supply test again..

------------

What is your current PSU ?? Seems like you may not have enough power !!

I'd recommend not going with linpack at least not by itself. I use CPU:OCCT instead cause I've had CPU's that can cruise all day long on linpack like Intel Burn Testbbut collapse pretty quick under Prime95 or OCCT. So make sure you test with both.

Nope. My 8150 will pass linpack at 4.8GHz but won't do OCCT at anything passed 4.5. Maybe it's just my CPU but that's why I say you should run both.
