USB Pen Drive encryption

Hey all!

I've just got a new 16gb pen drive [Woo] and i'll be keeping alot of important files on there and if i was to lose it - they could all be taken, so i was looking for some sort of encryption but i don't really know what.

I was thinking when you plug the usb in it prompts you with a password box and without the correct one you couldn't do anything?

Have you have any experience of this in the past?

Thanks.

I too want a alternative to truecrypt that can be ran without admin rights...damn annoying I really like that program but it needs admin rights/the program to be preinstalled

Yeah, cos when the kids who are used to using linux in school, go into a job using windows, they are going to know what to do aren't they?

Very true. But the thing is is that, if my school starts using Linux over Windows XP then even I would be completely gobsmacked. Would rather stick with Windows so I know where I can exploit it.

haha.

its a good thing tho, make microsoft a lot less exclusive, better security on linux and they can spend elsewhere (better hardware for example) instead of having to buy windows licenses

i would rather be a pro at linux than at windows - linux is where servers etc. is at

Linux in school is amazing and very helpful as all home pcs come with the windows standard.

So you get the best of both worlds and im with mrapoc here; i'd much rather be a Linux pro rather than Windows :D
