Do you think it's worth it?.. I've already ordered one but It was a bit of an impulse buy and I could cancel it..

I'm such an idiot with my money, lol

my evil side says yes

don't know really are u having problems playing the recent game's latly ?

The 670 is the better card, less power, quieter and higher performance. Doubt you will actually notice the difference in games, there will be a difference, but not a noticeable one.

@Tharionos: I'm not tbh. only time I get slight slowdown is in bf3 on a few Karkland maps, when I say slowdown I mean 50-55 fps as opposed to 60..

also get slowdown In skyrim too, but so does everyone... I DON'T NEED IT. god. lol

SieB, yeah. Less power is one thing.

if your running 3 screens i guess the 2gb vram could make a difference but tbh a 580 will play anything @1080p that i can think of

your choice though mate

I wouldn't have upgraded if I were you tbh. The extra VRAM will most likely help for future titles, but by then you would probably require a card with more grunt. If you are currently playing at 1080p the 580 will last for a considerable amount of time. I play at 1920 x 1200 and I have never seen any game use more then 1440~ MB of VRAM.

Well according to benchmarks on anandtech the difference will actually be quite noticeable, were talking an extra 15-25 fps on Battlefield 3

But you wont notice it, yeah numbers are higher but you wont physically notice the difference.

This is the thing. I really notice it. Anything lower than 60 FPS I spot straight away, even a few frames.

This is what is making me think I made a bad choice. then I see the power consumption and BF3 benchmarks, and think ' I can just sell my 580' and I think it's ok... and repeat.. LOL

Yeh, if you make £200+ with the 580 then the performance increase in BF3, the extra VRAM and better power consumption doesn't look too bad. If I think about it, it's not really a bad decision and as you said you notice the difference when frames drop below 60, so the 670 will be worth while for you.

Yeah! I won't cancel lol. Anyone wanna buy a Gainward 580?

@SieB, er yeah?

Argh not this old debate lol.

Mate I can notice straight away.. Have you ever gamed on a 120hz monitor? my mate has one and trust me, you can see well over 60fps too.

...... Youtube videos are capped at 30fps.. there is no way to tell the difference on there.

It's the reason that guy hid comments/ratings on his videos. everyone would have been calling him an idiot.

You can see a clear difference between the 30 and 60, even though it is a minor one you can still see it.

I have a 6850 and there are a few games I play that run on average around 43 - 46 fps and peak above 60, even with fraps on where I can see the framerate there is no noticeable difference only when it gets to about 36 fps can you really see a difference.

Everyone is different though and some people notice it more than others, you must be really sensitive to it if you can see the difference between 40 - 60.

I have always gamed at around 45 FPS is possible (a balance between FPS + graphic detail) for about the last 5 years. IF my fps reaches 60 for 5 consecutive seconds, I notice a WORLD of difference.... It's the difference between smooth sand paper and paper... Seeded mustard and seedless mustard.

I only dream to play above 60 fps. With the games I currently play I barely see 50.

As stated before, it's personal and unique to what you see... For me personally I notice all the way up to 80 FPS, beyond that I don't see much. The whole '60 fps is max for human' is bullshit, it's all individual for every person.
