Upgrading my system

Hi guys and gals of oc3d!
New member here figured this was a nice place to ask for help / guidence about upgrading my system.
This system is the first i ever built a while back.
Case: Fractal Define XL
MB: Asus Sabertooth P67
PSU:Crosair HX750w
GPU: Msi Geforce GTX 560 TI
Processor: i7-2600k
RAM:8gb Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600MHz

Im not to satisfied with the case, so im looking into upgrading that, then im just looking for guidence what would benifit me upgrading the most to be honest.

p.s sorry for any spelling misstakes, english is not my first language
 
What are you using your rig for ?

SSD should be in there no matter what and when your gaming you could
look into getting a new GPU.

Rest seems fine, no need for more.
 
Im mostly playing everygame there is, i got a 60 gig ssd with w7 64 bits slimmed down on it, maybe its worth getting a 120gig in?

What kinda GPU would you suggest me to get?
 
Which SSD do you have at the moment? What's your budget? Because you already have an SSD, the first thing I would upgrade is the graphics card. Look into getting a 7950/670.
 
Well id get a 250SSD so you can put your programms and some of your games on it.

Graphics wise it goes down to your budget, how much do you want to spend ?

Maybe a 7970 oder 670, or some 7870/660 ? Really just a question of your spare money.
 
My ssd is an old OCZ 60gig verex 2, was ordered back at like 2011 @april.

And i can spend like 600 usd on an ssd and a card.
 
Personally, I don't really see much need to upgrade a system if you are satisfied with it's performance at the given time. If you aren't, find the bottleneck and upgrade that. Your choice, but you don't need to upgrade a rig if you don't have to.

Main reason I'm saying that is because although some components could be better, they aren't too bad either. If you want more SSD space then it may be worth considering, but a newer SSD won't actually increase general performance by that much. The 560 Ti is still a pretty capable card too, so I'm not too sure if it'll be worth upgrading that already.
 
That should be plenty for a new SSD and Graphics Card. I have a crucial M4 and a Force 3. I've had the Force 3 for over a year, with little to no issues and I've had the M4 for over a month with absolutely no issues. Windows is installed on the Force 3 and I have a few games installed on the M4.

From experience and what other people say I would suggest the M4 over the Force 3 even though I've had the Force 3 for longer. As for the card I would say a 670 or 7950.
 
For gaming surely that rig doesn't need a huge update just yet. I doubt upgrading anything other than the GPU would reap much benefit. Consider over clocking your 560ti and waiting for the next lot of cards to be released? If not then I would say only upgrade your graphics card

Considering i dont have much space left over on my ssd after slimming a w7 installation, a 120 gig would help me to put some games on it to speed them up.

Also overclocking a graphic card is somthing ive never done before so i might need a guide or two to help me out, might be one on the forums im guessing?

Looking trough swedish stores for cards and stuff seems to be very expensive compared to ordering them from like uk or us and having them shipped over here.

What would people also suggest from a case since im tierd of my define xl since the damn metal plate separater is in there (cant be bothered to cut it out). Maybe an r4? if anyone has any opnions
 
If you've only got a 60gb SSD, I would consider doing something with that, since you can't have much more than Windows on there right..?

Maybe leave your copy of windows on there, and get a larger SSD for your games..? Loading times are a pain, and if you've got the money... ;)

Also, The 560ti doesn't need an upgrade just yet, it still a very capable card, so as said before just hold off until AMD 8xxx and nvidia 7xx cards come out, and see if you can get yourself something nice ;)
 
The obsidian 650D is an awesome case. A few OC3D members have the same case (as do I) and it's simply awesome. Brilliant cable management, awesome build quality and it's all black :drool:
 
The 650D sure is looking nice, But it has a giant window on the side which in my eyes needs somsort of Lighting in it to look good?? Were would i find somthing like this then to make it look pretty? Also might switch mb to make a color scheme then?

I have a 600t which internally is identical to the 650D and get what you mean about wanting a bit of lighting in a windowed case. What I did was replace the rear and front fans with bitfenix spectre pro white LED fans and it's given me some nice subtle lighting.

As for over clocking your graphics card it's just a case of downloading msi afterburner or a similar programme and raising the core clock a bit, running a benchmark to make sure it's stable and not getting too hot, rinse and repeat. I got lucky with my 560ti as I was able to over clock it nicely without having to bump the voltage. There are plenty of guides with a quick google though.

I'm afraid I do not know of any U.K based e-tailers that ship those specific parts to Sweden. Where do you normally purchase hardware from?
 
I'm in love with the Corsair C70, which is a reasonably priced midtower and slightly cheaper than the 600 series.

A Samsung 128GB SSD would help you alot and they are very reliable and is also reasonably priced. As for the rrest of the system, its not so bad. As long as the gpu and cpu work together well enough to play the games you like, why bother replacing what works fine?

Of course if you arent happy with them, then by all means, upgrade. 3570k minimum and GTX660 or 7850 minimum.

If you like lights you can always whack in a 120mm fan with the LED of your choice at reasonable cost.
I've got a blue in the front a blue in the back and the blue on my mobo looks sweet with the lights off at night.

I know one thing: I'll never own another case without a side window.
