sup guys, i just need one some help choosing my next card because im starting to feel my 5850 struggle with some games haha, and that was before i changed my monitor to a 1080p one, i had a 1680x1050 monitor before, and i think my 5850 needs to rest haha, what are your suggestions?? i buy mostly from amazon if that helps you

well, i can get the gigabyte HD7950 for $300, and the gigabyte HD7870 for $240, i will overclock, want to get the most out of the card, how much is the difference between the two considering overclocking, and overall performance at my resolution?

If you can go up to $360, Newegg has a XFX 7970. The 7970 is the perfect card for 1920x1080 as of will average just about 60 fps in any game at max settings.

The 7870 will overclock to roughly the same performance as the stock 7950. The 7950 could go all the way up to gtx680 beating territory depending on the silicon lottery.

The 7870 will usually be fine for your resolution. The 7950 will obviously be better.

My 7870 hawk maxes bf3 at 1080p with about 70-80 fps :) havent found a single game where it stutters

Wow! That is impressive. BF3 is the first game I've run up on that my 5870 can't handle at max. I'm in the upper 20's and low 30's on max. Those 7870's offer a lot of performance per dollar especially if you get one that will overclock like a boss.

My old 6850 could only mange 40-45 on high with some things on medium. I love being able to boot up any game and just select max :)
