upgrade from asus gtx 780 to rtx 260? for one my friend

hi one my friend has now one asus gtx 780 and I want to ask if is it worth to upgrade his gtx 780 in the rtx 260 for ultra gaming in 1080p.

he has now one 4770k in 4.5 and one asus gtx 780 3vram..

also will he has bottle with the rtx 260; it is worth to update from the asus gtx 780 to rtx 260;; for little until the next year? will rtx 260 hold for gaming?until new cpus and new gpus will come next year?

will rtx 260 can handle the games of 2019 in very good fps in 1080p for 1 year;; from now

he wants to upgrade the rtx 2060 in new gpu the next year 2020 , he wants to buy this card only for this year.

will he see massive improvent from gtx 780 with 260 rtx in the newest games of 2018 and 2019; very high and ultra fps in 1080P;;

for little until the next year? will rtx 260 hold him for gaming?until new cpus and new gpus will come next year?

RTX2060 is more than enough for 1080p, arguably a little overkill most of the time, and will probably run games fine at 1080p for another 5 years, a 4770K won't bottleneck it, and it'll be a giant leap over a 780, which is closer to 1050/Ti performance depending on title.

You write kinda like how my dad writes with a keyboard, I'm not gonna slate you for it if you're not used to it, but maybe try to start by avoiding too much repetition/spamming with some of the punctuation

Having more RAM doesn't make a card faster in itself(Though the bandwidth difference that can come with it often does), it just takes less of a hit once you beyond certain resolutions/settings, for 1080p gaming 6GB should be plenty for a few years, the 2070 is still an all round faster card though of course, but it's more targeted at 1440p.

he told me Gpu Technology is usually changing faster as raw performance does. I assume that 3 years from now a 2060 won't be able to play every game with max settings in 1080p. But it will still be a capable card and with high or mid settings will deliver a enjoyable experience.

Look at the 2 Gen old 980ti launched mid 2015 top of the line. Still a great card. Will deliver a nice ultra experience in 1080p in New games like battlefield. But if you expect 144 fps you will get disappointed. And a 960 (same tier compared to 2060) fails to push further than 41 fps. But if you dial back the settings you will still be able to play at comfortable framerates

The GTX960 had at RRP at half the price of the 2060, I don't think it's really fair to call them the same tier, it's closer to the GTX970 in terms of price & position, which still keeps up pretty well at 1080p. Also it depends what you mean by ultra settings, as many can be reduced a few notches without visible impact nowadays(Especially with textures & the like where highest settings are often only noticeable on 4K screens). In some ways GPU performance jumps have slowed, at least at a silicon level, though that does lead to different techniques being employed more often to gain performance increases with can mean hardware becomes less efficient quicker than it would usually, but as you say you can often use a card of that tier with enjoyable but not top-tier experiences for a good 4 years.

No one can really make that prediction because no one knows what Ultra settings could entail in 3 years time, but I don't think you'll have a notably degraded experience on games in 3 years compared to now and won't feel much need to upgrade at 1080p, it's even possible we go through a year or so of performance improvements as games/engines utilise the features of more modern architectures more effectively, ultimately there's a lot of unknowns in the future and it's best to aim for your best deal now, you can always sell the card for a fair chunk of the price in the first 2 years if your needs or circumstances or desires change.

RTX2070 and 2060 are both very similar cards, using different versions of the same chip, the 2070 has about 15% more cores and 30% more memory/bandwidth so it's generally 10-20% faster. But these questions are ones you should be answering yourself from reading reviews.
