Updating bios (gigabyte)

Hey guys.

I have a GA-Z68X-UD5-B3 Motherboard. I was just trying to update my bios from f9 to there recently released update of f10 for bios but I came up with incorrect id code or something. I have updated my bios before and cant see that I'm doing anything wrong this time.

I've looked at cpu-z and under mainboard bios version I have f5...? where it should have been f9 because that was my last install version of it.

Has anyone been having these sorts of problems? Have I missed something?

Cheers.

Did you use their latest gigabyte @bios,if not, thats the problem.

If you dont trust the online bios update, just download, unpack F10 bios and update from the file.

That's what I did and I got a error.. I remember installing f9 aswell. I went into my bios and it said I had a f5 version of bios????

actually gigabyte uses the dual bios. I have flashed mine several times to F9 only to later when overclocking or redoing something getting the failed boot and having to push the power button for 10seconds while its unplugged. Which sometimes but not always causes a reflash to the stock bios from the second bios. Sucks cause ya have to redo it I've just gone on with the last reflash ) which was last night after i redid my loop. Dont know why but every time I redo something in my case I have issues restarting it lol. But after doing the power cord unplug hold power 10 sec it either reflashes bios or starts acting normally.
