My gaming rig is now a pretty solid WS; just as soon as I get my Titan X it will be complete.

Updated parts:
4790k (4.6 ghz @1.150 volts)
Maximus VII Hero
32 GB GSkill Areas 2133 RAM
GTX 970 (will soon be a Titan X)
EVGA Supernova G2 750 watt gold PSU
4X Kingston 240 GB ssds in raid 0
Plextor 128 GB M.2 boot drive
1 TB WD Black HDD
Cooler Master V8 GTS cooler (purely for looks lol)
Also added red LED case fans and red braided cables, and I have 2 cold cathodes on the way :)

The temps are ok I guess. I had a cheaper cooler in that had better temps, the Innermax Black Twister. I just wanted the GTS for the look I was going for to be honest. I was in mid to high 20s on the Twister, and now with the GTS I get low 30s at idle, but max temps don't seem to be impacted much if at all I still see temps in the 60s under load.

I like it, but then I'm partial to red and black. Like what you've done with the SSDs though mate, pretty cool !

4 ssd's what raid would you put that on if any at all? Sorry im new here still learning

It depends on what use.. but seeing these are SSDs i probably would only get raid 0. Then again raid isn't worth it. Better off spending the money on a larger SSD that's NVMe or PCI.

I have them running in RAID 0.

There is the benefit of speed. I have all 4 ssds stripping across the array, it's quite fast.

Yes but you'd get more through PCI and nvme. Plus boot is faster as the array doesn't have to load first.

Problem is PCIE cards are very expensive. I bought four 60gb Corsair Nova SATA II from fleabay for £10 each and have been running them RAID 0 for a year now and get 1tb rw.

Sata are just so much cheaper and don't use any lanes.

True they are, but also true that not everyone will get them for that cheap... but anyways it'll take some time like it did with Sata3 based SSDs. Not everyone has room for 4 SSDs. Just preference really.

I use the Plextor 128 gig M.2 as a boot drive. The ssd array is where I store games, and videos I plan to edit.
