Update of water cooling

A few months back I bought a basic water cooling kit.

(this kit was the, XSPC RASA 750 RX360. Also I have red premixed coolant.)

Now I am looking at updating it. (I am on a budget of around $400AU to get this updated)

A few things I am wondering on how to improve it, not knowing that much about water cooling.

Firstly,

What fans should I look at?

Also should I change my radiator/pump/reservoir?

I want to try and keep the Reservoir in a 5.25" drive bay.

Also does anyone know if there is much difference between mixed coolants, and distilled water?

Any help would be nice

Default answer will be find some Gentle Typhoons and pick the rpm you want most go for the 1850 as it is a good balance between noise and performance. Other good fans the Akasa apache(black edition has slightly higher rpm hat origianl still silent to me though) and the Akasa vipers(1900rpm)

All good for Rads as produce plenty of static pressure.

what is it you actually want to get out of your upgrade as it is already a fairly good bit of kit

The rasa block is one of the best available, The pump is known to be a little noisy but still good performer and the RX series are all pretty good

Thanks for the advice on the fans.

Also does this mean i should just keep the parts i have at now?

As i am mostly trying to keep my rig cold, but also quiet enough to sleep.

Probably the main trouble is the fan noise.

One other thing i forgot to add in the previous post, was about the tubing. what would people recommend for tubing? Or would the tubing i have from the RASA kit be good enough.

The tubing is likely just fine; unless you want to change it for cosmetic reasons (colors!), or it's broken in some way, keep it.

if your just looking to quiet it down (not that the xspc fans are bad) just get some focus flows noctua's and be done with it the rest of the kit is fine, you'll not see alot of temp diff by changing out parts from what ya have already

And if you just want to spend money and do a cool project, you could add something like a flow/temp monitor to your loop, with a fan controller.

If you can find them I would most def go with the Gently Typhoon's 1850 rpm over almost any other fan.

I have read quite a bit on liquids for water cooling and the best thermal liquid is water from what I have read. The only problem is that it grows bacteria faster than other pre mixed liquids. I used distilled water PT nuke and the silver kill coil.
