Unconfirmed: G92 GeForce 9800 GTX specs

Bah, we can w8 forever tbh.

The G10x cards will be the next after that, with a cunning marketing ploy as G10 the ultimate Dx10 range.

U`ll get a tidy sum for that card if u wished to sell it for a G9x.

In all honesty tho 8800 cards own so many of the games that are out atm, and the games are probably only scratching the surface of what they can do. Plus the drivers are probably still a tad sucky.

(any1 else notice their XP has Dx10.dll files in it ? )

Nope, i can still sell my 7950GT for about 300 US on Ebay. That 8800 will go for more.

Also, i didnt realize the Call of Juarez and Crysis demos wernt DX10. I guess reviewers should stop doing DX10 benches off of them. Oh wait, what about Lost Planet?

You can direct that at me :P... The guide price is $550-$650 so I estimated ~£300.

As for this whole dx9/10 performance debate - there aren't really any dx10 games yet, the 8800's make mince meat of dx9 games, making them more fun to play.

I believe the high end 8800's will deliver acceptable frame rates for the first few dx10 games (saw a news article with a lappy running crysis). Developers have to optimise games to play on 'run of the mill' pc's too.

Those of us who require more horsepower for high res will probably get these new cards.

Didn't Lost Planet have a patch? There are no fully DX10 developed games out yet, and until then, we can't really judge performance.
 
To my knowledge you can buy Lost Planet either DX10 or DX9 off the shelf as well DL the demo with DX9 or DX10. CoH required a patch. And reviewers are doing DX10 benches off of Call of Juarez saying its the first real DX10 game.
