Ultra x4 1200 Watt PSU Questions

I was wondering if anybody is using an ultra x4 PSU in their builds. They seem like a very stoutly built PSU. But i dont see anybody using them for some reason. Is there bad mojo with them or something? Because for the price they seem like a dang near steal. Im looking at the 1200 watt for my sniper/ i7-970/ 2x64gb ssd/ 2tb hdd/ etc etc

Any info would be great thank you.

They're cheaply built, that's why the price is cheap. You get what you pay for. I've had bad experiences with Ultra in the past, so I avoid them now.

This is a crappy build psu,have just been reading a rewiev on this one.Avoid it,and look for something better.

Hmm really? It just looks like a really good built PSU D:, What are any recommendations? i dont want an HX1000...

I could recommend corsair AX1200,nzxt hale90 1000.Expensive,but the last thing to go el cheapo is psu.

But you could be better off with 850 watt psu.If you have tri sli gtx580 or similar x-fire amd gpu,then 1200 watt is recomended.

Yes i was looking at the ax850... I think that is the choice i will go with for now. If i look to go quad with two 590s.. Then i will just sell it for what i can get out of it then go ahead and upgrade to a 1200

Good choise,and if you dont care about modular, the new corsair tx850 v2 ,is also a nice one.

They do have a full life time Warranty no matter how long you own it. I may be returning mine for a new one.
