When he uploads a 35m video for example, what is the size of the file in general? What software do you use to compress it?

I upload my videos of my online races and they are 50%(distance)so the files are over 10 gig sometimes.

I'm not sure what the max size of files uploaded to Youtube is so I try to keep them under a gig but this really compromises the quality.

I think youtube allows filesizes up to 2 GB.

Ive got no restrictions what so ever. But the file sizes are not massive, just depend on what quality I render them in, its normally 6.4Mb/s

what are you using to record your races

When I record a game video with FRAPS it is uncompressed at about 4GB

I use winavi to convert from avi to avi and it compresses it to less than 2GB

Just use my camera, Ive not done any proper screen shotting yet. I will do though but when I render it it will sort the size out for me anyways so it doesnt really matter.
