Triple Monitor/DisplayPort Advice

Hey guys, so I got a new monitor (Dell U2312HM) which I plan to get 2 more of, but I now have 3 screens and wouldn't mind trying out some triple monitor gaming.

Question 1:
I have 6950 and I'm pretty sure for me to run 3 monitors I'd need at least 1 to be ran off the mini-DP?

Question 2:
My new monitor has a DP and I believe I can just use a mini-DP to DP cable, this one? I believe that if you have to convert from any other type you would need to use an active mini-DP adaptor.

Cheers :)

Afaik, you should just be able to run from DVI - DVI and mini display port to display port adapter. Shouldn't need to be active, and you shouldn't need to buy one - you should have got a mini DP - DP cable with the graphics card.

Bear in mind, frame rates aren't going to be great on a 6950

So you're saying two DVI connections and that miniDP-DP cable would be fine for 3 monitors?

I don't remember getting a single cable with my graphics card - and if I did it would have been DVI/VGA.

Yeah I know, I just wanted to try out something like DiRT/F1 on low (those games tend to run pretty efficiently).

EDIT: Got the displayport cable and it works perfectly. Also getting 40+ FPS on high, so it's all gooood.

You'll need an adapter from mini-DispalyPort to DisplayPort. But the picture quality is the same.
