Torn between these boards

Hiya. I'm doing a ryzen 5 1600 build in a few weeks and am torn between the msi x370 xpower gaming titanium, Asus x370 prime or the Asus b350 Rog strix.

A decent Power phase and vrm cooling are of interest to me.
I have a NO interest in rgb
It'll be used for gaming and overclocking will occur!

Budget is up to £150.

Any other recommendations or opinions are greatly appreciated

Stay away from the MSI the VRM are pants. If you want SLi etc then get the Prime, if not get the Strix.

The Strix is about the best budget board on Ryzen. If you can afford it consider the 370 version.

The strix is a better looking boar but the Prime x370 has the better VRM and better options in bios.
I have the X370 and would suggest you go with that over the strix

Oh of course the strix is a nicer looking board but has a bit more RGB than OP indicates they wanted. The Prime Pro is the better of the 2 Prime board both in looks and features imho it is still the better board than strix 350 although if the budget can be stretched that little bit then defo the strix 370

Perfect... This is what I wanted to hear.. Most people say it's a good board just because they have it but that doesn't mean it's good.

I should have said I mean the prime Pro.
RGB isn't a deal killer, I mean it's not what I 1st look for on a board and that I have a define R5, luckily I wouldnt see such illuminations like Blackpool.
Sli I'm unsure on. I've never done it before but as I have a 1070, it's an option but then with sli issues apparent, I could just get the 1080 or a vega 64 of some flavour to play @ 1440p and keep it single.

Is the Rog x370 worth the extra £50 over the prime Pro?

Thanks for all the replies BTW

Plus they only put a single PWM fan header on their boards which is a no-no for me!

When the MSI came out Buildzoid basically took it apart and discovered that not only were the phases proper weak (like 6+2, not what you would expect on a £300+ board !) but they were also crap. Inadequate cheap rubbish incapable of running over a certain temp.

The best board for fets is the Asrock Taichi, but the thing is Ryzen does not need 12 phases. It is a very power conservative design as it is, and that should reduce when we see + even further. However, I still wouldn't buy the MSI myself. They do make a couple of good, well priced Ryzen boards but that ain't one of 'em IMO.
