Thinking of a new build

Okay so this is a on going mental project.
I think I will be building at the end of Jan 2013.
Currently my Budget is about $2300.

What I'm currently thinking of:
Case: Silverstone FT02B Window
CPU: 3570k
Mobo: ASUS P8Z77-V DELUXE
Ram: 16gb(4gbx4) corsair Vengance.
CPU cooler: Corsair H80
Fans: Corsair SP120 x2
SSD: Samsung 830 256gb
HDD: Seagate Baracuda 3tb
PSU: AX750 ( yes i know excessive but eh i like it )
PSU Cables: Corsair blue sleeved cable kit.
Graphics: MSI GTX 660 ti power edition.
Lights: Bitfenix alchemy

What does everyone think, I am building for performance but also for esthetics.

I did have a green WD green 3tb on the list, I chose the Seagate one because it is the exact same price(in Aus) but it is a 7200 rpm drive. Does this really offer better performance?

Regarding the Graphics card, I'm thinking I will overclock the card because it has MSI's "triple over voltage", which from what I've read online should yield performance close to or better then that of a 670 while being $100 cheaper.
Does anyone know about MSI overclocking?

For this budget a GTX670 should be possible as M&P said. I'd drop to 8 GB of ram, an ASUS P8Z77-V Pro and an AX650 (if you like the AX750, you'll like this even more).
The rest looks very nice

WD and MSI mpower or GD65.

No need for the P8Z77-v Deluxe unless you're a little child who enjoys wasting an afternoon playing with the pointless features of the board - despite never actually using them for anything beneficial....

/looks at sig...

Here's a full opinion. If I had your budget this is what I would get:
Note: I've used pccasegear which seems to be commonly used by guys over there.

I've put in an air cooler rather than the H80. Why? Well the NH-D14 is both cheaper and better at cooling. If you want to upgrade to an H100/custom watercooling then that is a different setup which is both more expensive and better performing. The problem with going under water is that the case you've eyed up isn't ideal with 180m fans in the bottom. It would take some modding. I tend to feel that the case is a bit overpriced and the features are awkward but since cases are the most subjective part of a build it's not really my place to tell you yes or no.

I've knocked down the mobo to something that performs exceptionally but for a much better price. It is still blue, although a slightly different shade. I've also changed the RAM and tried to fit the colour - feel free to change this. Any RAM which is 1600MHz and 2x4gb sticks is just fine but you'll need it to be low profile with a large air cooler.

Upgraded the HDD to a WD green which is a better product overall. Yes it is slower but you have a nice big SSD for running anything that needs speed from. Storage drives are just for things like films/music/pictures and documents which require very little speed from an HDD. The green is very reliable and energy efficient.

Upgraded the GPU to a 670 with an awesome 3rd party cooler. In fact I managed to fit in two for your budget which is mental for single screen 1080p gaming. You could just get 1 and drop your budget by $420. The 670 is better because it has better bus bandwidth which can be noticeable. If the 660 makes 670 speeds then that's great but the 670 will rival a 680 when both are overclocked. This 670 is only $70 more than the msi PE 660ti but the 670 is $155 less than a comparable 680 (with 3rd party cooler) which it will stand toe to toe with. That's why the 670 has the best performance/money and why we recommend them. With your budget there really isn't an excuse! As an alternative I would suggest a 7950 with 3rd party cooler. Something like this is both cheaper than the 660ti and will overclock further and will fight a 680 at stock if you want it too.

As it stands you have $165 to spend on lights and PSU cables.
You might notice that everything is black and blue still. Well technically the mobo is dark brown and blue but I've got one and I don't notice the colour unless I'm looking closely at it.

Nice choice if I was to buy this I'd be really happy.

I can't believe the amount of information and effort you guys have put in, thank you so much. There is so much knowledge in this community nothing like anything we have in Australia.
I will use all of this information to refine my build idea.

awesome.. glad you likey!

thats what the community does for its members..

but a note: between now and the 2013 year start, there will be changes..
there will be changes in pricing, availabilty and new items, too..
nuttin' etched in stone, yet!
