Thermal paste - GPU

Hi,

I will be soon installing a few Koolance 7970 GPU blocks.

I recently got hold of some IC Diamond 7 carat diamond paste.

I also have some Noctua paste.

What's recommended for GPU install.... would the IC Diamond be a good choice?

I had a choice of both also, for CPU I used IC diamond but to be on the safe side I used noctua for the Gpu (what most people use)

I'm sure you can use IC diamond but it's a mission to install sometimes, noctua is easier.

The choice is yours

But incase your wondering, I put a wc block on my gtx570, max temps under load (by furmark) is <45 celcius. So it does the job!

hm...

When using Noctua on the 7970 I think it's just a large pea in the middle right?

or does that have to be spread out ?

dont use the IC diamond for gpu, things like silver, gold and synthtics are only good for cpus and for gpu its better to use silicon based ones.

and now days you should spread on everything cpu and gpus
