This is simple.
Ill start by doing the first chapter to inspire the story. Then you carry it on.
-----------
His arms ached and head was banging. The bed was cold as the cotton linen flowed over his now rough skin. His stomach turned and he felt his gut wrench. John opened his eyes and every thing was blurry and unfamiliar. The walls were all cold pale white and the curtain around his now steal bed was grey with flecks of purple in them. John then lifted his arm which seemed to hurt like hell and could see the plastic drip feeding his hand with some white liquid. Confused he slowly raised his chest and sat up. Still his stomach was turning over, and then suddenly from out of nowhere a flood of black coal like puke flowed from him. It leaped from his mouth about two feet in front of him splashing all over the clean shiny iridescent floor. The curtains flew open and a flurry of nurses ran over saying, “it is okay you just need to rest.” John lay back with the whole life running before his eyes. Questions flew left and right in his brain distorting his current vision with words and sound. What?, Why?, How?, His body then fell back to the comfort of the hospital bed and the soft white linen. “He’s lucky to be alive” he heard as he fell into a deep un-ceremonious sleep.
Opening his eyes he could see the pale ceiling and felt the cold harsh surroundings around him. He knew he wasn’t home but didn’t know were he was. Looking to his left he could see an empty bed. All the pillows stacked in a military fashion, the covers folded with perfect edges. Some one had taken pride in there work in putting this bed in a perfect oblong shape. John raised his hand only to feeling a small jilted tug against him as the plastic round tubing caught on the side of the cold metal bed edges. He wiped his eyes to clear off the misting of the deep sleep and took a second look to see if he could figure out where he was. In the corner of the room as a small empty desk with a computer and scattered all round the room was medical equipment. Nothing moved and there were no sounds at all. The serenity of it all was unreal to John in his hectic bustling life. Looking down he saw his now less than pristine white shirt torn open with dried blood and grass stains all over it. His chest, which was causing him so much pain had two oval blistered burn marks which felt as though they penetrated his whole body. The door swung open and a tall sharply dress man walked over to him. “Good morning John how are you feeling?” John took a second look to refresh his sight and nodded in the general direction of who ever it was talking to him. “Any chance of a drink please?” asked John as he leaned forward. The tall man then turned and opened the door and whispered some thing that John couldn’t quite catch to some one on the other side of the door. Turning back to John the tall man then asked how he was feeling again. John this time sat up raising his not so overly physical body and replied, “I feel pretty dammed **** to be honest.” The man then nodded again and came closer to John. “My names Dr Phyla’s and I’ve just come to check on how you’re doing after your episode last night”. John didn’t remember a thing and what episode what the hell is he talking about john though to him self. Looking puzzled john just said, “Oh sorry but to be honest I haven’t got a clue what you are talking about?” Dr Phylas then moved over to the edge of the bed and sat right next to john, “You Overdosed and drank a lot of whisky and you are lucky to be alive. We had to revive you. If you were found any later you would not have survived?” John took a deep breath as a pain shot down through his stomach he then moved his hand trying to control the pain. Still not knowing what the Dr was talking about he lay back down to feel the comfort of the fluffy pillows. “Do you know why you did it?” The Doctor asked john. “No I cannot remember a thing,” john said in a calm underlying voice. The doctor then stood up and said, “well we need to check you over and see if you are okay and I am going to get one of our psychiatrists to come down and have a talk with you is this okay with your self?” John knew he had no choice in this matter and just nodded back. The doctor then turned around and said that his water would be with him in a moment and he left room.
John lay there for 5 minutes working through his brain, trying to figure out what Dr Phylas had just told him. What had caused john to take an overdose as things seemed to be going well in his life especially after his past. Like every one John had a few problems but he never did talk about them to any one. His secrets were only for him to know not the world, and they were never really something to worry about. Although he did miss his children that he had left behind which felt like along time ago. His new job that he had just started a few days earlier was harder than normal but he was putting his heart and soul into making it work. The door then opened again as a nurse shunted in holding a jug of what looked to be icy cold water. She headed over to john’s side cupboard and placed it down. “Would you like a drink now?” she gently asked. John turned to her and with a small smile and a nod replied, “Yes please”. The nurse then poured the cold water into a glass tumbler and then moved her hand across to John. As he moved towards her he lifted his hand to grasp the glass. Suddenly the Nurse jumped back dropping the glass tumbler that instantly smashed on the floor, “ouch that hurt” she said in a slightly raised voice. He could see the nurse rubbing her hands together. “I’ll go get this cleaned up and bring you another glass?” She then turned and quickly shuttled of back through the door.
John feeling rather stumped at what had just happened laid back down quietly forgetting the incident. He then started too reel through the last few days of his life. The job he had just taken his life in general, and everything his mind could think of to try and figure out why he was here. What had he done to deserve the pleasure of the hospital bed? Everything was a blank to him and there was nothing he could think of that could explain his current situation. Minutes passed as he lay there trying harder and harder to concentrate on his past and the events that must have taken place. The nurse then re entered the room with a new glass and placed it gently beside the bed. He could see that she now dawned a new black scorch mark on her hand. She looked at him gave a small fake smile and then walked back out of the room. He could see through the frosted glass that there was a small bustle of what looked like to be nurses all gathering round the nurse that had just left. He could only just slightly hear some of the comments “How did that happen?” were the most obvious to his ears, then they all seemingly shuttled off behind the walls of his sound sanctuary, John then laid back down and started to run again over the past few days. As he did the fluorescent lights seemed to flicker to his thoughts and the more he thought the more they’d flicker and dance. Seconds passed into minutes and minutes passed into hours as he lay trying his hardest to work out the past. Eventually John fell back into the unconscious world of sleep with a last foreboding glance at the room.
Flashes of light in all the brilliant colours of the rainbow passed by in swirls of mist with entwined screams of pain. “Get the "swear word" away” was screamed via an unknown young woman’s voice. Falling, spinning, toppling in every direction as photos of the minds eye passed by. Streams of violent black strips of light bounced and danced and twirled in between bright blue sparks. A human heart pounding all burnt and the smell of hell had passed with an iridescent lack of thought. Looking down the chest bulges and pounds and fear of loathing has gone. Hate of the world encapsulated into every living thing. Death was near and the shrieks of the after life could be heard as a momentous rush of pain went trough all his veins of life. The coldness of the violent storm was passing with every whim life was over. “John” was this real what’s going on. Confusion was a state of play. “John” Who’s saying his name, where was it coming from. “JOHN”. Deepest pain from the chest. Suddenly john rose in quick fashion as he lifted his body from his deep relentless dream. Stood over him was someone he had never seen before.
“Hi John my names Melina Tate or Dr Tate to the underlings” she said with a clinical smile and chuckle to herself. “I am here to talk to you about what happened last night?” John sat up straight from his hideous dream and mopped his cold clammy brow with his hand. The woman standing a side of him was about 4 foot 8 inches , long flowing brown hair with blue eyes and a prestigious set of breasts, John always longed to have a nice woman with well rounded and fashioned breasts. John smiled, “Hello Dr Tate, nice to meet you,” as he looked directly at the magnificent wonders in front of his eyes. “Erm well first off! My face is here!” as she pointed to her not so happy smile. “I have come to chat to you about what happened last night if that is okay with you? And please call me Mel” she proclaimed with a little arrogance in her voice. With this he knew that he was now dealing with a physiatrist, who else would drop their “Dr” Status just to talk to him. “Now do you know what happened last night and why you are here?” asked Mel. John stroked his rough chin and looked passed Mel as not to catch glimpse of those wonders. “Nope, I haven’t got a blooming clue why I am here? All I know is what the Doc told me earlier,” he said quietly in his slight posh northern accent. “Well then as you know you took a serious amount of tablets and drink and we had to revive you.” John adjusted him self and spoke back under his voice, “Yes I can see that by the two ****ing great big burn marks on my chest!” Mel leaned across and moved the half torn blooded shirt to the side to take a look at the healing wounds “I am sorry to say that’s another reason why we need to talk to you. They were there before the paramedics picked you up?” John snapped back and forcefully pushed Mel’s hand away. “What do you mean before they came? They did this to me.” Mel moved over to a chair in the corner of the room. She grabbed the chair from behind and slid it cross the floor closer to john’s bedside. Brushing her thick white doctor’s cloak to the side as she sat down facing him. “Those marks you see on your chest did not come from the paramedics they were there before they found you. Don’t you know how you got them?” John moved his back tight up against the metal frame of the bed, “No” he said in a discerning voice. Then raising his voice a little higher, “I’ve told you all, I don’t know what the **** happened.” Mel eased off and corrected her posture, “it is okay don’t worry about it, with time it will all come back to you? I am sure with a little help you’ll be able to recall the past events, it will just take some time.”
John by now was starting to feel anxious about the escapade and with no answers in his mind it would only worsen. “The last thing I remember was coming to my home in my car and that’s it. Next thing I know I am here in a lot of pain. What are these marks if there not burn marks from a defibrillator? Were did they come from? And why does it hurt so dammed much?” Mel paused to think about some of the questions that she was now being asked back. She didn’t expect John not to know what had happened and she had never studied this type of burn before. “Look I think we need to give a full examination to find out what they are? May be that will answer some questions that we both need to know.” John shrugged his shoulders and looked through the frosted glass to see if he could see if anything was going on outside. “I’ll get the doctor to give you a second check over now that you’re fully awake and see if we can find out any more info on them, Okay John?” John nodded back with a small smile “please do I would like to know as well.” He responded more calmly. With that Mel stood up from the chair and walked off without looking back. “I am sure the doctor wont be long it’s been a bit quiet round here lately.” she said with her back turned to john as she exited through the door. John took another look round the pale cold room and with a loud sigh he snuggled back under the covers. While there he tried to stop thinking about the last few hours, it was stressing enough just being here and he could do with a cigarette to top it all off.
About 30 minuets had passed then an older crooked lady opened the door pulling a trolley of delights. “Would you like any thing off the trolley sir?” she politely asked. John sat up and had a quick passing glance to see if there was any thing that he could indulge his eyes and mind with. “You got today’s local paper love?” he quietly asked. The old lady then leaned down and shuffled though a bunch of newspapers then pulled out the Cambridge Gazette and passed it over to john. “Will this do love?” she replied in a caring manner. John lent across and grabbed hold of the paper, as he did his shirt slid open a little more and the old lady saw a glimpse of the burns on his chest. Her eyes dilated as she looked and a small frown appeared on her face. She then moved a little closer to john and whispered in his ear “It’s all about control love.” “Pardon, what did you say?” John quickly responded. Nodding the old lady then turned and started to push the trolley back out of the room just stopping to lean forward and open the door. What was that all about he thought to himself as he lent back onto the cold metal frame of the bed. Unfolding the paper he could see the headline news’s about the day’s events. “Lightening destroys Church,” read the top story. Reading on John read to himself about how yesterday a church in the centre of the small village of Cherry Hinton was hit by a huge lightening strike, yet there was no forth coming warning of any sort of the storm from the weather centre. It said how from out of no where that a storm appeared, and how high winds and gusts and then a sudden lighting strike had demolished the spire of the church. Apparently no one was hurt in this freak but small disaster and how no one could explain that days events. A shiver ran down the back of john’s spine and his chest felt as though it had suddenly gone into small spasms as he read on. Some one was seen running from the building after the lightning strike but they disappeared through the graveyard and no one knew who this person was.
All of a sudden John’s chest arched and he felt like his body was not his to do with as he pleased. He thought to himself, “wow slow down boy” and with in an instant his muscle’s started to relax. He could see his chest wounds started to gently move in rhythmic motions in and out with his breathing, and then the wounds started to heal slowly, but hell they were healing. With the look of surprise on his face john then stood out of the bed and pulled off the cannula from his hand, blood streamed from his hand as if a pump was forcing all of the blood from within. He quickly pulled one of the clean white sheets from the bed and wrapped it around his hand. Then he turned and saw the big red call button for the nurse’s station outside of the room. Just as he was about to hit it, he pulled his hand away. “No, what if they see I am healing myself this fast” he thought to himself. He pulled his ripped shirt together as best as he could and re arranged his Jeans and Straightened himself up. Looking down he could see small puddles of congealed blood all round the floor, then he looked back up through the frosted glass to see if there was anyone in the corridors as he braced himself to escape from this lonely sanctuary.
John moved forward to the door and gently opened it inwards towards himself. One eye at a time he peered around the door to see if he could see any signs of life. Moving his hand down the doorframe he could see the prints of blood he was leaving behind him. The lights again started to flicker as john’s heart beat started to pound. He braised himself ready for the escape he had planned on. He moved his right leg around the door and pushed his way off. Quickly he moved passed the small nurses workstation as he pushed himself forward as fast as he could. Nothing or no one was going to stop John as he swiftly moved. He could see the signs above him pointing to the Exit of the clinically sound building. As he took his step’s forward he noticed that every florescent light flickered just in front of him as though each step was a trigger for the light to flicker. John could still feel his chest self healing ,the pain from within was still there unnoticed by any one or anything he passed. He could see ahead a secure red door with more frosted glass and a small green mushroom shaped button next to it. John punched at the button, as he did the doors swung open, he thought to himself, “not much further to go!” Speeding up to a fast walking pace John took a quick glance round for more signs to the exit and followed them as smoothly as an injured man could go. People just looked straight through him as always and carried on with there daily business as john past by them. No one seemed to care that John had dried blood down his ripped white blooded shirt and all down his arm and still dripping from the now blooded rag of a bed cloth.
After a few moments John could feel the breeze coming from outside. He knew he was close to escaping the iridescent halls even though they were full of bustling people who didn’t care about him or his life. People just shoved and pushed and wondered aimlessly without one second glace at him as though he was an expandable peace of **** on the floor. “Mind you this is what Cambridge was like” John thought to himself, Cambridge a place where people didn’t care, where they are all full of nothingness. He saw the main door fully open and headed straight for the exit. With one deep breath he felt the sweetness of the autumns leaf’s pass through his body and soul. John then headed out of the clean and well maintained hospital grounds taking a look back to see Adenbrook spread across the entrance, that was his escape route. John had not been in this part of the town on foot before and only knew the roads ,so with that he followed them back on foot passing all the empty cold hearted people of Cambridge.
His mind started to wonder and he started to bring up his past. All the lies and deceit. His bad and violent up bringing. The pending case of his paedophile father and the raping of his two daughters and his sister who escaped it all to New Zealand. This always made John feel sick inside but this was what was on his brain now, the mental and scared images of the beating’s he took over and over again as a child. Yet never once did he cry out for help, not one time did he sought the accompaniment of another voice to help get through the experiences he had gained through his own miss fortune. As far as John was concerned and was always told, there were people out there worse off than himself. John aimlessly wondered back to his home were his beloved love of his life was laying in wait. Hoping that she was waiting with arms wide open like the sanctity of forbidden love. Reaching the outskirts of Cherry Hinton, John’s feet were in real pain from the shoes he was wearing and the blisters that had seemed to appear out of nowhere. His thoughts still laid on his past and the atrocities that he had seen while in the army. He had only joined the army to please his father who at the time he thought would show his love more, but now he knew different, it wasn’t John that could please him, it was the younger woman, the child that kept him happy in his perverted bed. Looking down at his hand John noticed that the blood had stopped dripping and had already crusted over. The pain within his chest was still there as he felt the healing process of his body carrying on it merely way. The more John thought of bad things with in his life, the better his body seemed to respond in its healing process. John was now coming up to the old church that he had read about in the news, looking ahead he saw that the spire was no longer atop its beloved but not his dismayed church. He could see slate scattered all over the grass and big black scorch marks layered around the church itself. His chest started to pump harder the closer he got to the church, its rhythmic dance seemed to out pace his heart beat. Small tiny shooting spasms passed through his chest up over his shoulders and the drumming of the beat got faster and faster as he past the church, the pain almost unbearable to john but all he could think off was his home forcing himself to carry on. Once passed the now dilapidated building john’s chest calmed down back to its small pulsating beat, back to its self healing process. Onward he pushed himself back to his sanctuary from the cold heart of Cambridge.
Ill start by doing the first chapter to inspire the story. Then you carry it on.
