Pure brilliants! :)

Anyone whatching? Channel 4... I have never believed the Global warming theory! :p

Load of old tosh if you ask me..

Thoughts?

Carbon production (in order of amount produced)

1. The Sea

2. Decomposing animals/plants.

3. Animals

4. Volcanos

5. Humans.

Only 0.49% of the earths atmosphere is made up of carbon..

I can assure you that global warming is very much a real concern, and I'm not a hippy. I refuse to leave a dump as a legacy to my children.

:(

Global warming's a myth.

And no that's not the typical un-educated response. Why? So the ice caps are melting. Average temperatures on a global scale are relatively the same since the early 1900's. Plus, what we're doing now isn't very polluting. What we did in the 1960's-70's and even before that, when industrialization was still going on and factories were still the primary place for many blue collar citizens, was much more polluting than now.

It'd take many years and trillions of dollars to reduce pollution and even then it'd still be there. It's not just vehicles, factories, electrical plants, and the latter that create pollution but simple things such as dumps, sewers, agriculture, etc.. all emitting methane, a gas which is in cow pie (cow sht :p), human wastes, etc.

Planet is simply gaining amplitude on its sinoudial wave of temperatures. One day itll be hot enough and greenland will start to melt. Europe then goes into an ice age, and the planet snow balls until the volcano's melt us out with carbon release.

I can't wait, should make for some good air oc'ing.

Do you have substantiated factual sources to support your claim? If you do, I'll consider the validity of mine

I believe it's a natural phenomena caused by the last ice age, which was at it's peak around 18,000 years ago. Since then the world has been steadily warming up.

Besides IF it was us humans to blame, we're too late now. This is the result of the industrial revolution when everything was coal fired.

A little scrat told me that;)

I believe it is a problem, i have no facts or anything, but then again i have no facts that it isnt a problem. I know its prob not related, but have you ever been to cario to wake up in the morning to all the smog created by the cars. Actually made me cough loads all the time i was there. Gross.

Even if it isnt a sign of global warming its just plane rediculous to not try and cut down on pollution. No matter how much of a % we make up, it's still something.

But then again, this is just my opinion.

Global warming in todays "scientific" sense is BS, but in nature its very real. Its a natural cause that scientists are trying to blame us on. When the next ice age comes what are they gonna blame it on? Hell freezing over?

They will blame humans we aren't producing enough CO2 ;). I think cutting down on pollution is one thing, but this carbon dioxide thing is ridiculous, reminds me of the ozone hole "problem", it is amazing, that hole is still there over that bloody volcano.

The planet is warming naturally, we're just speeding it up a bit by upsetting the natural balance :)

QFT it happens naturally but we speed up what would take 500 yrs in 50 yrs

How do we with an insignificant amount of CO2 speed up a process by a factor of 10?

As much as I'm all for making the planet a better place for my kids, I think pollution isn't going to be the problem in the future.

War's, nukes and any other manner of unforeseen circumstances could easily turn the world into a place that I wouldn't want to bring new life in to.

In my opinion nuclear power is the only way forward, and electric cars. This eliminates CO2 and all other pollutants and frees us from a dependence on oil and other natural resources.

NUKE IS WORSE THAN FOSSIL FUEL , ever heard of nuclear waste , most difficult waste to get rid off as no one wants it

I didn't think the program was denying the occurence of global warming, just pointing out that there is no mankind caused greenhouse effect.

Good point showing how that Al Gore film mislead by tieing in ice core CO2 with temperature - when in fact CO2 follows the temperature.

There never has been any scientifice proof that mankind is resonsible for the state of the world climate, just misrepresentation of facts, which so many people delight in believing.

However, we still should stop/filter out polluting.

Don't forget to read Michael Crichton's State of Fear if you enjoyed that programme.
