The first I've built for myself

I'd built for my friends before, but never had the chance to do one myself. Here is what I did (back in February):

Specs:
Corsair Vengeance C70 Arctic White
i5 3570k @4Ghz 1.1v (in the process of working that up)
Gigabyte GA-Z77x-UD3H
16GB of Corsair Cerulean Blue RAM
Corsair H100i
XFX Radeon 7970 DD Edition @1050Mhz (haven't touched the memory clock)
Corsair AX750 PSU
Sandisk Extreme 120GB SSD
Seagate Barracuda 1TB HDD
2x Bitfenix Spectre Pro Blue LED 120mm fans in the front
2x Corsair AF120 Quiet Edition (on the rear exhaust and on the drive cage)
2x Corsair SP120 Performance Edition in push on the H100i rad
200cm NZXT blue sleeved LED strip

Lit up, these LEDs are a lot more effective than I was expecting

Nice job buddy, looking pretty tidy - is that the vengeance C70? Never played around in one of these before but I hadn't realised how far forward the H100i sits up top!

Yeah it's the C70 in Arctic White, forgot to put that in the OP, I'll edit it now. The position of the radiator is odd yeah, the bend in the tubes is quite severe and it makes it hard to get into place but once it's in there there's no problem.

The space behind the radiator would be perfect for the rad from an Ares II but I'm not made of money so that isn't happening

sweet build!

Thanks :)

The third hard drive you can see is an old Sata 2 WD Blue 500GB I had spare that I put Ubuntu on for the Steam thing and because I felt I needed a Linux drive since we use Linux in my CS lab

How do you like the NZXT LEDs? I am thinking about buying a strip for my own rig sometime...

I didn't think they'd be as good as they are. I got a 200cm strip, ran it from the bottom PCI bracket (it doesn't connect into a PCI slot on the mobo so I'm using the slot I can't use because of the bottom mobo connectors) up the side of the case, around the rear exhaust fan and then just looped it around the edge of the case and it fit perfectly. The glow is really good, like the entire inside is a nice purpley blue. The only problem I have with it is that my Spectre Pros in the front are a lighter blue but I kind of like it that way.

Actual problems I had were that the cable that provides power to the board that connects to the PCI slot is really short and ends in a molex cable so I had to plug another molex cable into my PSU to link it up, it doesn't reach to the cable hole next to the PSU so at a guess I'd say it's at most 20cm long. Apart from that, it mounts using little clips that have adhesive feet, which I found really good although reviews I've seen said that "they just didn't want to stick to my case" although I didn't have any problems with it. I've only had them in for 2 days now so I can't comment on long-term stickyness but I don't see there being a problem. You get like 16 feet anyway so I have spares.

Nice build you got, how is the noise from the H100i pump? I got a H70 and the pump is fairly loud, and I wonder if the H100i is any quiet. And I noticed the 750w powersupply, are you planning on having a 7970 crossfire build dude?
Are you planning on future upgrades for you computer? Specs currently look pretty awesome man :) You got a nice clean build.

Thanks, I can't hear the pump over noise from the fans since I have 6 in there, plus two on the graphics card so I don't really know if it's overly loud. The 750W PSU is mostly there because it was the lowest wattage 80+ gold modular I could find. That, and I was buying everything from Scan since I can visit their store and can't get deliveries over a certain size to my flat. I'm not planning on buying another 7970 soon but picking one up if the prices drop when the next gen is released isn't out of the question. As for other upgrades, there aren't really any I could do other than more storage with an SSD. If 16GB RAM wasn't overkill enough, I'd fill up the other two DIMMs and make a 24GB RAM drive. Maybe a soundcard or something.

If I was going to buy new stuff though, a 120hz monitor would be highest on my priorities for the actual 120fps and eyefinity gaming although I can't do this until I move out of Uni halls in the summer because this desk isn't big enough. Other than that, a 5.1 speaker system and the K95 (hurry up Corsair) are the only things I'd change.

The only thing i'd say is, change the fans on your H100i to Pull, gives you a positive airflow inside your case, minimizing the dust making your rig more efficient. Very nice looking rig you have though!
