First build

Hi guys

As I said in my intro I have always bought pre built systems in the past and have deprived myself of the pride and satisfaction of building my own machine, I am finally going to do something about this and to this end I have put together this somewhat provisional list of components but admittedly my knowledge is limited so I was hoping you kind people might be good enough to point out any glaring holes in my proposed setup and maybe suggest what I might put in place of any poor choices. Thanks

CPU - Intel core I7-6850k
Motherboard - Asus rampage v edition 10 X99
Memory - Corsair Vengeance Led 32GB (4x8GB ) DRAM 3200MHZ C16
GPU - Asus GEForce GTX 1080 strip gaming(1 to begin with but will be 2 eventually)
Storage - Samsung SSD 950 pro 512Gb
Corsair Neutron series XTI 480GB Sata 3 SSD
2TB sea gate barracuda
PSU - either a Corsair AX860i or RM100i

As far as cooling goes I plan to go with a custom loop but I may use a AIO cooler till I have bought the second card. The system will mostly be used for gaming.

All advice/input would be greatly appreciated.

I wouldnt get the AXi PSU - they are much noisier compared to the RMi's

Thats about the only thing I would say from your spec list, AIO wise I would say H110i GT but that really depends on your case....

RM1000i it is then, thanks Tom. I am going to be using the the Corsair air 540, I know it is not the newest of cases but for some reason I just love the look of it and hopefully it's layout will help me achieve a reasonable standard of cable management. I think The H110i GT should go in there without any no problems.

It will fit fine, I use that case for the MOBO test rig and thats got the H110i GT in it

Regarding the memory, would it be wiser for me to purchase the 2666MHZ or 3000MHZ kit instead of the 3200MHZ given the chosen CPU?
