any ideas sorting a nagging problam i have when reinstalling graphics drivers, when i come to install new ati drivers iam getting a problam when i restart my pc, i get a message saying signal out of range, now when i remedy this i have to reconnect my old 17inch crt monitor, then change it back to 75hertz in control panel then reconnect my tft to solve this prob, any ideas i can use to solve this.

hmm maybe try a different set of drivers? some drivers just cause problems for some hardware configurations.

I'd look for some different drivers. But you could always start windows in safe mode, and change the settings in there rather than reconnecting your old monitor.

I'd do this then.....that's a good idea.

Never really heard of that one before. Another day, another random act of PC madness

its the same with each driver set i use, its a pain in the derriere, i think when start in safe mode you are only given certain options in control panel, never mind life goes on and so will the problem, thanks for the help, :beerchug: :beerchug:

Safe mode may not give you the options that you would normally get, but if you set it to something like 800x600 256colours, apply and then restart, it *should* start up in that mode in normal windows.

Tr getting driver cleaner and starting up in safe mode. Uninstall all the old drivers, use driver cleaner then re-install all the new drivers. Remember to clean all previous vidcard drivers in driver cleaner!

Get Driver clener here

Its worth a try! :D

i tried what you said and you never guess what, it worked fine and dandy, thank you for all your help and assistance, thats to the other posters aswell, respect.
