Temp probe on DFI Ultra-D

The temp on my Ultra-D shows around -3C to 0C when I am priming my 3500 Clawhammer. My Mach II GT shows -43C on evap. How reliable is the mobo's temp probe? I know there's a difference between the evap temp and the actual temp but I didnt expect it to be that low. I'm using MBM5 to monitor the temp.

If you are sure that you have good contact then you can happily ignore the temps, i have never known a board to read reliably under phase change, their temp sensors arent calibrated for it (hell, most of the time they can be way off at normal temps) so providing you have good contact you're CPU temp will be a lot lower than that.

That's true, some boardsw can be as much as 10 degrees off the pace.

I am suffering with the same problem with my DFI SLI DR Mobo, speedfan shows -16 idle and plus 1 in superpi

GT head reading is -47though, go figure.

Lets not forget the CPUs run sweet below 35 degrees so as long the the MACH is not overheating and temps are low enough, I feel that the temps are lower than is being reported.

Usually, after all the bugs are sorted on new mobo's a BIOS is released with additonal calibration for the temp probe which helps to make them a little more accurate.
