As the newly appointed admin of the SysXtreme Radio project I need to find some more online personalities! If you haven't already checked out SX Radio now is your chance, surf on over to www.sx-radio.com to have a quick look and tune in.
SX Radio is powered by Nullsoft Shoutcast! What does that mean for you? Easy setup! Even a n00b can be broadcasting live literally in minutes with this easy to use plugin. SX Radio highly recommends the use of 3rd party DJ software such as SAM3 Broadcaster. But, if you don't have anything like that you're more than welcome to use Nullsoft's free winamp broadcasting plugin!
The DJ's that I'm looking for can play ANY genre of music... We aren't biased to one type of music or the other at SX Radio. Currently we have DJ's that play techno, hardcore, dance, trance, rap, rock, heavy metal, horrorcore, and more!
Requirements:
*Age - 18+ (Sorry, kids and online radio don't seem to mix :bootyshak)
*Bandwidth - Your connection MUST allow for you to upload to a 128kbps and 32kbps server at the same time. IE, your upstream needs to be 160kbps or higher (in reality your upstream should be more like 200+kbps).
*Microphone - You must be able to speak on SX Radio. Announce songs, spin custom tracks, and most importantly advertise and promote both the SysXtreme Network and IDNet because without these two people SX Radio wouldn't be possible!
*Experience - None really, anyone can be taught to DJ. But you need to be motivated and have a FUN show that's going to entice people to come back and check it out, as well as spread the word. Public speaking skills are pretty important in a role such as this.
If you think you have what it takes, let us all know by posting your willingness to be a DJ at SysXtreme Radio in this thread. Please post the following information: Name, DJ Name, Age, Music Genre, and Connection Speed. I'll have a look and see if you might just fit the bill for SXR! , hip hop, metal (thrash, speed, old school), rock (hard and soft), old school dance, techno, yada yada bla bla ...you get the idea (most genres), 5mb cable (even faster in Aus)
