Sunbeam Core Contact Freezer not good

Im glad to join such a great community and i wonder if i got help with

my system is:

MB : Asus Rampage formula

CPU : Q9550 C1

Ram: 4x1 GB kingston HX 1066 CL5

VGA: Gigabyte 512mb HD4850/zalman

HDD: WD 640GB black edition

PowerSupply: ASUS P55GA 550 watt

CPU Cooler: Sunbeam Core Contact Freezer+arctic selver 5

Case: antec 900

Honestly im not happy with my temp at all,

When i use without OC it runs @ idl my temp is 51-43-45-45

I can reach 4GHz with that great board when i OC i see 84 temp @ maximum temp

Plz advice,I dont know what 2 do, Is Sunbeam isnt that good or what!

Have you applied the paste correctly and have you used enough or too much?

Before you do anything ou must first realise that software monitoring is quite inaccurate before you calibrate your settings...

Have a read through this:

Its quite long but should help to get your readings closer to the true value...if its still too high then we can go through what to do...

I tried all possible method of applying the paste and all monitoring programs and still no improvment

Would you recommend me with a better cooler coz this cooler is bad for Quad

Interested in this too as I have this cooler too in MSM2,and I havent even started OCing.Read some where today that its not a good cooler.

Sunbeam is a great cooler for C2d and dual core but its not that good for Quad

I think that coz its outer two pipes cant reach all cores its only working with its inside heat pips

sounds like a badly mounted cpu cooler.. 53 idle stock?? would be better off with standard intel HSF
