Hi all,
I've just built my rig and it plays high-end games at around 60 degrees but when I come to stress test it in OCCT it runs for around 10 seconds and stops because the temperature quickly reaches 91 which is what my TJ max is.
My rig specs are -
i7 3930k @ 4.6ghz
Asus x79 Sabertooth
Nvidia GTX Titan
Crucial RAM 16GB @ 1600mhz
XSPC RX240 - D5 - Raystorm - cooling CPU only at the moment
The system seems perfectly stable whilst gaming but fails stress tests miserably, could the problem be the thermal paste or the overclock settings? in OCCT when I run the stress test my CPU core 1/2 goes insanely high and then reaches TJ max whilst 3 is a little lower and 5 and 6 is around 30 degrees from TJ max...
Many thanks in advance
Meng
