Does anyone use steam, as i need a little help on a problem i have.

I installed steam at work, registered a cd key to my account for counter-strike, played it and all went well.

Now im at home with another copy of the game with a different cd key, im trying to register this cd key with steam, but im getting;

You already have a subscription to the game assosiated with this key.

Does anyone know how i can bring the cd key i used at work to my home computer. I thought steam held all the data, but i think im wrong.

You dont need to install another key to use steam. Steam is more like an hotmail email account. Where ever you are as long as steam is installed you can login with your logon name and password and you can play the game. Once you login at your house your work login will logout auto , so when you go back to work and login you ll logout auto at home. Hope this helps.

got it sorted now, but thats for the reply! i had to right click on the game in steam and go to install, i thought steam would of picked up the installation from windows, meh, all sorted now.

Thank! :)
