So i was wanting to buy the Total War Master's Collection(since it's 75% off) and i already have Shogun 2 FotS, i was wondering if i bought the whole thing for myself if i could gift the extra copy to someone? I only ask because when i go to purchase it if gives me the option of either buying it for myself or as a gift which leads me to believe that once i buy it for myself i won't be able to gift the extra copy? Anyone have any answers?

Thanks in advance!

Sale ends soon so a direct answer would be very appreciated(please explain how to as well).

pretty sure you'll lose the extra copy.

I already had HL2 ep1 when I bought the Orange Box, and I ended up with an extra copy of that game as a result, so who knows. I'd expect the same to happen to him.

@NeverBackDown In my case, I was able to give it away as a gift, but it was quite some time ago, so I'm afraid I have no memory of the process.

I just can't see how i could gift a game i already own? Just going through different options i can't seem to be able to find any way of figureing out how i could gift an item.

only certain games are given as a gift when bought for a second time inside a bundle. sadly as far as i am aware there is no work around.

there are a few exceptions, Half life 2 and possibly portal not really sure on the others

Well i already own a one of the games so if i buy it then they basically take out the extra copy and leave me paying a little more for something i can't use?

Fucking money whores-_-

/end rant

Thanks for the help then guys.. although now i'm considering not buying.. I don't see a point in wasting money on the bundle when the game i own makes up around half of the cost. Thanks for all the help.

yeah it kinda sucks but you need to view it from their point of view, if they gave you the key for a game you already own which is part of a bundle, you could be paying something like £5 for the game and then be able to sell the key for £10 or £15 as a standalone key.

Or they could make you gift it? And not let you sell it.. if anything if the other person ends up liking the game they would be more apt to buy another one of those games in the series. IDK rather not get into business talk in this thread lol:p

Yes the game cost makes up half of the bundle of but how much would it cost you to buy the rest of the bundle? If the rest of the games would still cost you more than the bundle cost after you remove that title, then it is still good value. As long as you want the games
