Thanks a lot SieB, my paln is to clone a VM server instance, so get around 12 x 4 core servers on the job with a bit of luck, all I need is some free time in work to get going.

Wish it was my own but its works, it's lying dormant at the mo for a new project due in the Summer so shoudl get around 3 months use out of it before it moves onto new pastures

Just looked on Google and if what I saw was correct 12 core Opterons get 62,792 PPD each, so 4 runing together will be 251,168PPD... that is epic

It depends on the clockspeed though. This 48 core Opteron rig gets about 170k ppd at stock (1.9ghz) running bigadv units...and that's more than 4 separate 12 core rigs would bring in (at stock) because of the way the bonus system works.

Either way he should easily expect to see over 150k ppd on that thing which is still huge

I get about 60k PPD on a 24 thread Xeon server (2 CPU) @ 2.67 GHz. Depending on the WU it will dip into the 50s or almost 70k.

Make sure you set it up to run -bigadv work units to maximize your points per day
