Small mid tower case

Hey guys,

So I got an Corsair Spec-Alpha and just mentioned it to give you guys an idea of the size. The smaller the better, a full tower is too big.

I'm after an black/grey/blue case that can hold an H100i V2 in the top and 3 x 120's fans in the front and one 120 in the rear.
And with a removable HDD cage in the front, for free airflow from the 3 front fans over to the GPU etc.

Something like an Fractal Design Define R4 Black Pearl is nice looking, although no triple fan support in the front.

Motherboard size is ATX.

A windowed side panel is preferrable.

Budget is not a concern.

Any tips, recommendations are welcome!

Regards,
Chrazey

Only two cases I can think of that can do triple front fan intakes are the H440 and the Fractal Design Evolv ATX, but since you are atx size and you want triple front fans the cases can't get smaller/more compact

I have this case http://www.phanteks.com/Enthoo-Pro-M-Acrylic.html
It can take 3 x 120 fans front (cd drive cage removed) up to 350 rad up top and 120 on the rear.

See here for pics of my rig http://forum.overclock3d.net/showthread.php?t=75801

Thanks dude for that recommendation, I must admit I really like that case.

If you remove the DVD bay and put an fan in the top, will it get air or will it be limited due to the solid front bay cover infront of it?.

And also, is this like a special edition version, since it looks a lot darker than the other pictures I've seen of it? Looks similar to the Fractal Design Define R4 Black Pearl:

Fractal Define S?

Haha yeah, I did actually look at it before, but completely forgot about it... Thanks for the reminder!.

Fractal Define S?

Would highly recommend this case. Great to work with and plenty of space. Will easily fit what you want and in a good sized footprint.

I have a 240 rad in the top, a 360 rad in the front. Case is quiet with plenty of airflow!

How is the space for the front fans? Seems quite limited, if you'd go for Corsair AF fans, would they starve for air or is there room?...

Plenty of space. Won't get starved for air, and I recommend getting different fans if you don't already have the AF's. They are overrated in my experience.

Sorry for not coming back sooner
Here is a pic wqith the front removed showing 2 x 140 I checked and can confirm 3 x 120 will fit

And a shot from the top showing the area for fan placement will also take 3 fans with drive bay removed.

Yup indeed... Hence one of the reasons I went for the Define S instead :)

Smart choice dude i think you will be happy with it, I'm happy with mine but i'm planning on going back to a larger case in December hopefully cause now i'm using the EK Predator 360 everything is look a bit cramped for me.

Just need a larger case for the extra space :D

Well you've got alot of Fractal fans ^_^... And you're also on Windows 8.1? Haven't taken the step to 10?...

I did last year but went back to Windows 7 first and then to Windows 8.1 once i found out what Microsoft was doing in Windows 10 with the Data mining stuff but i found out about a month ago Microsoft have been doing the Data mining stuff since Windows XP so i guess you can't really hide from it at all.

Yeah i have spent way to much money out but it's nearly done i really want to get a new monitor but really don't have the money yet to sort that out.

The cables are not at risk from my fans as I slide the filter up there rather than having it attached to the front panel :)
