Slow firefox again..

Basiclly takes 5-10 seconds to start up.

Only have one addon - adblockplus

yeh its really bad at the moment!

any ideas? I've already tried reducing history settings

We're looking for ways to make firefox faster here. And I can't recommend Chrome btw, annoys the crap out of me

Have you cleared temporary internet files and cookies? It sounds stupid but might help.

It's really hard to diagnose. Chrome won't be any quicker.. It feels more bloated to me.

Disable the one add on you do have?

Uninstall, do a complete clean including registry and reinstall?

ccleaner is ran regularly for complete clean inc cookies, temp files and registry!

I found FF on Linux is a little sluggish to start.. but never on Windows.

Also running latest version of Firefox and having a few problems.. not responding errors and the like.

Must be something at their end not yours.

Yeah same, for example typing this it keeps freezing when I stop. Loading webpages sometimes don't work and take 2-3 clicks on them! Also seems to freeze up and not respond for around 10 seconds, although it won't crash. Also sometimes it will not load the next page when posting something, but the data was sent.

Perhaps, and it's most likely that. I'm gonna try Safari.

yeh disabled all addons, aka only adblockplus, was fast, uninstalled adblockplus (great addon), and all is speedy again :S

Oh no.

The only must have add-on, imo, for firefox and it slows it down. Well that's the trouble with add-ons eh? On the other hand, I don't seem to have any speed increase at all running firefox in safe mode compared to my plugin filled firefox.
