SiS has announced that it has signed a long-term licensing contract with Intel for the manufacture and sale of chipsets for the Intel Core 2 Quad processor with 1333MHz front side bus. Plenty of budget boards in the works it seems.
Perhaps they will give us a good clockin' extreme performance chipset? I don't put it past any of these chipset companies with track records for cheap chipsets to one day bust out some serious uberage.
tbh i think for the non-enthusiast market these 'budget' chips really are a god send. They all work perfectly well for stock/mild overclocking and the prices just cant be beaten.
