Sinister Twin.

Ugh.

Well I would like to say that last night was full of pleasures. Sadly it wasn't. It was a complete pig.

So the first thing to do was find the RGB splitter cable I bought. Could I find it? could I F. I spent two hours looking and then at 9pm I gave up. Packed everything away after running up and down the stairs several times. I was peed. Like, mega peed. I've not wanted to smash something in years but god it was close.

Sat down on my chair, pulled the bin over to put something in it there it is the C word. Ugh. 9pm get everything back out. Fitted the cooler realised a wire had come disconnected. Took cooler back out, replace wire. Do this three more times (wires kept getting caught so it was cooler out AGAIN) and then put the rig on the desk. I was hoping things would improve but NOPE.

Turned it on, noticed immediately none of the RGB was working apart from the NVME cooler. Whatever, decided to ignore it for the time being. Installed Windows, went somewhat OK. Got into Windows, started installing drivers. Got most of them on before installing the software for the LED screen (cooler). It didn't work. Nothing, nada. Spent two hours trying to figure it out, realised I had V1 which uses totally different software. Got that sorted, then opened up the Asrock RGB app. Refused to see the RAM. Updated BIOS which wiped all of my TPM settings so I then spent nearly an hour to change the pin. Running up and down the stairs to retrieve my phone so I could say "Yes, it is me". Hint - NEVER give these companies your mobile number. Eventually changed pin and got back in. RAM works, OK cool.

Take rig back down (now it was about 11pm). Fix RGB wire. I had to use selotape to keep them from pulling out. Whoever designed these connectors wants shooting. Attempted to refit cooler three more times but wires kept getting trapped. Eventually at gone midnight I got it back up on the desk.

Take the code sent to me from OCUK to Intel to activate game. I wanted BF6. Spent over an hour peeing around with accounts, confirming more BS before it finally gave me the code. Went off to "EA APP" or whatever they describe their dog toffee of an app these days, put in BF6 code and........ "Sorry the code has already been redeemed". Say what?!?!? Seems there is someone dishonest at Intel. So I will need to contact customer service at OCUK to get another.

So yeah. It was one of those things where absolutely every single thing you try and do just fights you to F for no good reason.

Pics later.

I absolutely hate the new EA app it’s rubbish slow to update for zero reason where as steam downloads at 1gb a second im avoiding the game atm simply cause of secure boot messes with tons of stuff on my system i can live 😅

Thing is once it is all out (well, was) it takes a long while to put everything back. As mum gets older I find myself having far less time for me when I am here. So I just wanted it done, as part of the reason I wanted it so bad was Borderlands 4. My mate Ryan from the U.S and I have played through every single damn one of them for better or worse. So I gifted it to him for Xmas and we are starting Sunday. Most of the problem was just waiting for things tbh.

That said it is there now. These are not the most flattering pics ever but you know me. No frills. Is what it is and all that.

It's red obs. Well, at least for now. The badge (ST one) can't be just stuck on. There is no flat area in it. So, I need to fill the hollow with epoxy and I just haven't had time. Today was Christmas tree day, but the stand broke (concrete) so I have been drilling that and yada ya ya. Same old.

Just installing HL2 RTX on it now.
