Hey, so i just installed this F&H thing everyone seems to be on about.

Ive joined the Redline team (i think)

Whats you guys average PPD?

Mine says its estimated 19000 per day?

I have an i5 at 4.6ghz and an XFX 7970 clocked as far as the stock bios allows, I guess internet connection comes into play here too? Mines turd, 1.3meg constantly is all i get lol

On a good day my average is 45k PPD.

Your CPU is fine, but AMD cards are not good folders.

Welcome to the team! Your Internet connection won't have an effect on how you fold, unless you can't get a WU downloaded of course. Traditionally, nVidia hardware is better suited to the work that F@H does. I'd try folding with just your 2500k and see if your PPD is better. Usually when folding with ATI cards, the CPU PPD will take a pretty good hit.

Welcome!! Your PPD sounds OK for the equipment, ATM SMP PPD is all over the place as it varies greatly from one work unit to the next.

Oh and don't look at steve's PPD, it will make you feel woefully inadequate.

Some hardware is better than others, like has been said nvidia cards are the ones to go for when folding but an the end of the day it doesn't matter who has the best hardware as it's a team effort.

It has been said that the V7 client works better with AMD/ATI graphics cards than GPU tracker. So you might want to try that if it's not what you are using already.
