Sigh.... stoopid "christians"

I know what you mean. Trying to get the good grace of Muslim nations while being BFFs with Israel is idiotic. I fully support an independent Palestinian state, while my country (Canada) wishes to veto it with the US. Sometimes, I hate Canadian politics/politicians. In this case, they're spineless puppets controlled by the US. Iraq was totally unjustifiable, especially given that the UN informed the US that Iraq had exactly 0 WMDs. Don't even get me started on Israel and the UN. (well do, but I'll talk about Israel and its atrocities in a post, as well as the bureaucracy that is the UN )

One thing I forgot to say: the insane vocal minority always screws over the peaceful, reasonable silent majority

Well said dude

Yay. I found an example

To put the "Islam is violent" image in context, it was after the South Park episode where Muhammad was portrayed in a bear costume.

yassarikhan786, what are your thoughts on the video and the image, which I found the correct context for. I think we should have an intelligent discussion here, now that we've gotten slightly off topic.

Edit: Also, what do you think of the death of Theo Van Gogh (the director of the movie "Submission," which criticized the treatment of women in Islam)

I am at work right now so I can't comment on the video. What South Park did was offensive to Muslims, as in our religion we are not aloud to create any visual imagery regarding any of our Prophets (Peace be upon them). I'm not sure if the creators of South Park apologized because I didn't follow the story closely. That particular episode of South Park can be considered an insult against Islam, which is why you saw all the outrage, but it doesn't condone any form of violence. If an apology was issued, then all is good unless something like that happens again.

Regarding the death of Theo Van Gogh, I am not saying that what happened to him was right, but he portrayed Islam as a religion where Women have very little rights, when in fact Islam has given more rights to Women. Certain countries adopt their own rules, when in actuality most Muslim women are treated with the up most respect. Only certain countries restrict what women are allowed to say/do because they feel that they are protecting them. Going back to Theo Van Gogh, What happened to him was absolutely terrible and killing in the name of Islam is prohibited unless it is during War.

These are my thoughts.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Edit: What do you think about people who have said/continue to say things that offend Islam & Muslims.

Edit 2: I thought I'd talk about my personal thoughts on the subject. Personally, I have the freedom to say, write or draw (incredibly poorly) whatever I like. I shouldn't have to act like I'm walking on eggshells because what I say could offend someone's beliefs. I'm not a Muslim, I don't subscribe to Sharia Law, why should I obey them then?
