Show your F@H Room/Rig !!

After buying my 27", there is no way I could go back to a 22". It's amazing.

What do you use it for? The reason why I said normal desktop use is obviously I see certain situations where the greater space is more than useful.

And obviously it's a personal thing.

I have it sitting a little further back on my desk so it's a nice distance away from me. Mostly I use it for gaming, 2D and 3D, so the big screen is great for immersion. I also do a lot of media editing; having the 27" screen as my main window and my other two 22" monitors as my render/ouput window and pallet/directory window.

The size of the 27" just feels normal now. As it is still a 1920x1080 resolution, it could be clearer... but it's hard to notice any downgrade in image quality unless you're coming from a 27" at 2560x1440.

i think any 3 matching monitors (that are 1920x1200 or greater) would be perfect for anything

but too expensive

For normal desktop use I don't think I'd want any bigger than 24". And now you have said that, I have just looked up at my 19" and 24".... the one in yassarikhans picture does look rather large.

Must be a perspective thing.

Yup, I think it was just the angle I took the photo at. Looking at the monitors head on there is not a massive difference.

Hey guys,

This is my main rig:

And heres my folding rig:

Folding rig is a HP X6600 Workstation, its got 2 E5430's and gives a nice 18k ppd or so

Nice setup mini me, although you could do with a bigger desk. You have more than enough room for one

EDIT: Why don't you move the F@H rig closer?

Cheers, and I would move my F@H rig closer to the main rig, problem is I don't have any free mains back there, so its currently sitting where my old pc is.

How quiet is your XW6600?

After going through all the hastle with my XW6400, if the guys that sold your yours get some more in at the same price I might sell my XW6400 and grab the XW6600 lol

Figured I'd post a pic of the SR2 for those who haven't seen it in any of the other threads. Kindof a crappy pic, but you get the idea.

My XW6600 is extremely quiet, its only got 2 exhaust fans at the back which are pretty quiet anyway, and no intake fans. If someone is walking outside my room they can hardly hear it

And I was going to buy a XW6400 but then had a look at what cpu's I could stick in there in future so I just bought the XW6600

Thought I would show you my Rigs, 'æ

First is my Server

It has horrible cable management, but what can you expect from a stacker.

Then my Main Rig.. somewhat better cable management there, though the Watercooling isn't optimal.

Case is a Corsair 800D, with only Noctua Fans, PWM in the top for the radiator, set to pull air into the case.

And I see the Irony in having a Nvidia case with an AMD 7970 GPU for a server..
