Separate output just for headset?

Hello! Is there any way i can have one of my jack outputs dedicated to just my headset for Teamspeak etc?

I like sending all of my audio through my desktop speakers, but I'd like just the voices of the Teamspeak people to come through my headset, like it is on Xbox i guess

It's in the sig but... Z77X-UP5-TH

Is this possible?

Not so far as I'm aware...

I will be happily corrected if it exists however.

Side-note - People do not generally like to hear your game through your mic in most cases though, so you'd be better off using headphones/headset for your sound fella.

Really don't know myself but just having a Google around. I don't know if it's possible but there are a lot of suggestions of using two sound cards?

Meh I really don't know, I'm just pulling stuff from Google that people claim to work. They seem to say it can be done depending on which software you use but there is nothing specific.

putting in dual sound cards / not removing drivers for your onboard is whole world of hurt.

As for front panel/back panel most solutions I've seen for this, as soon as you plug anything in the front the back just turns off. If there's a way to override this then that would be the solution.

I want to try this as it looks as though it could work, going by what i see in the "sound" prefs. The problem is i don't have the cable to wire up the front panel. I think i have an older style connector somewhere so I'll see if i can modify it and hope it works.

EDIT:

Ok i found the front panel and loom (separated pins) off an old case and i wired it like this...

Ear L - pin 9 (Line_2L)
Ear R - pin 5 (Line_2R)
Ground - pin 2 (GND)

But Windows doesn't seem to detect it or the headphones I've plugged in...

In general my Teamspeak and Skype audio come through my headset and all other audio through my speakers as I don't game at high volume very often. I'm using a cheap USB headset (I needed PS3 compatibility. Sound quality isn't amazing but wasn't expected for the price and I've had no issues with it so far).
I have the speakers as default device and headset as default communications device but I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it on TS or even if you have that option using a 3.5mm jack type.

Edit: My Windows lists "Headphones" in the Playback Devices list as "Not plugged in" and I've never used the front panel audio.

Personally though, I prefer having the game sound through my headset as well for things like Battlefield, and like SuB says, other people's game sounds through TS can be distracting/annoying. Better off playing it safe IMO.

Just get a usb sound card and then use that for VOIP.. that's what I used to do when I used speakers for games and a single ipod headphone for VOIP.
