Hello!
I am building a new computer and I wonder if there is any room left for improvement.
Here are the parts that I have chosen as of now:
Memory (costs $110): Corsair Vengeance Red 16GB, 2x8GB, @1600Mhz, CL10
Motherboard (costs $170): ASRock Extreme 4
CPU (costs $290): 3570K
VGA (costs $375): 7950
Monitor (costs $245): ASUS ML239H
Total: $1190
My budget: I wanted it to be under $1000, to be honest. But I also want long-term quality and high quality...
I have a couple years old SATA 320GB HDD, an old but relatively good sound card, an average 600W PSU that I bought recently for maybe $30, an old PC case, a few 80-120mm fans, an old Ethernet card and an old CD-ROM and a DVD-ROM. Those parts, I THINK can be used in the new system without a big hit for performance. I also have a monitor, but I want to move onto the 1080p era, at last.
I am willing to OC as far as stock cooling goes and as far as staying on the safe side goes.
So... Can this build be improved?
