Seeking advice :D

The Swiftech H2O "Apex" series 120.2 based kits (Not to be mistaken with the small compact Swiftech's) are fine to build upon as they use pretty standard parts and it'll perform like a watercooling unit should straight out of the box. The thing is though, it'll still require assembling and installation so you may as well save yourself some money and be advised which parts to buy individually.

Well, I spent about $800 US already, but I've actually spent about another $150 recently on a block for the chipset and Vreg for this Classified board that you don't see in the picture. I haven't put it in yet, but will probably have some time to do it this weekend.

I have 2 seperate loops with 2 water pumps, 2 reservoirs. The first loop currently is only cooling the processor and the second loop is cooling the GPUs.

I've spent quite a bit, water cooling can get expensive fast, but considering Koolance competitive prices I've probably spent at least three or four hundred less then probably buying Danger Den, Bits Power, or EK parts since they're usually a little higher priced. Koolance brings the same performance for the most part with their blocks and fittings so I've decided to save a bit on such an expensive hobby already.

haha seems you spent quite a lot, only reason i thought of getting into water cooling is because i had a mate who was gonna give me some parts, unlucky for me he moved to australia so im all on my own now so :S

yes mul i totally agree, it doesnt have to be a kit but the reason people have advised me is because im a newbie, can u suggest or any one else suggest the parts i should get.?

I'm not up to scratch with today's watercooling components as it's been a long time since I've even considered building a custom watercooling loop. Best wait for the watercooling experts to appear :)

aight n1,

True, but if he doesn't want to hassle with different parts from different manufacturers and wants an all in one kit that will work great out of the box, even having to assemble it as that's the whole point and where most of the fun lies imo, the Wsiftech kit is the place to start. I think that for someone that hasn't messed with water cooling this is a good place to start, but yes we could recommend parts and you can pick and choose to your liking.

I'm personally digging the HeatKiller 3.0 for CPU waterblock if your interested

http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/heatkiller1366.html

And the back plate to go along with that.

The pump.

The reservoir

Compression Fittings X 6

Clamps (for Pump only need 2, but have to buy 10)

Radiator

http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/thpa2xhipera.html

Coolant

Radiator Fan Housing (if he decides to mount on the back of his case unless he knows where he will be placing the radioator already)

http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/mciraho.html

Tubing X10ft (just in case)

http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/ty1id5odlatu.html

And a couple of this babies (fans)

http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/sc12slsy110c.html

All in all he would be spending about $440 not including shipping and not considering he might or may not be able to pick up all those parts from the same place otherwise shipping will really make that jump to probably near $500.

I really think the Swiftech kit is a great place to start unless he doesn't mind spending the amount up front to really custom build his water cooling setup. We can continue offering suggestions on parts I guess, but that hetkiller block is awesome from what I keep hearing.

thats all so very nice, im from the UK so ill try find it around here

Yeah, sorry, I'm in the US so I only know US spots for purchasing my parts. I'm sure there are lots of places in the UK though and I'm sure others can point you in that direction.

Haven't checked myself, but have you checked out the banner at the top of the forum? Watercooling UK? Maybe they got all the parts with some descent pricing on them.

yeah yeah they got a few, think im gonna have to buy a new case cus im sure a cheap thermaltake alite cant house all of this lol:D

While theres no argument that those parts would make a very nice setup. They are some of the most expansive around.

WCUK is the best place to get your gear from in the UK.

Personaly I'd go for the XSPC Delta V3 for the block. People will whitter on about pressure curves and its 2° lower than this block and yadder yadder, but when you can just open a window and lower your temps more by doing that than spending an extra £20 on a block i think most arguments get chucked out the door.

I'm a bit shocked at the prices of the rads atm, thermochill looks actualy to be the best priced as well as the top performers. But they are fat, so if you want to mount internaly a thinner one may be simply more practical.

Pumps, a DDC Pro/Ultra (budget dependant) + which ever top you think looks coolest. Again, perfromance magrins are so small.

Res wise the XSPC 5.25" bay res is only £20 and does an extremely good job. Or add in a t-line insted which will cost like £5 for the joint.

Add in which ever barbs you want (compressons are good but pricey) and some good ol' 1/2" tubing and your ready to roll.
