Hi

Looking to get another 780 Classified but im not sure if my PSU can handle it. I was running the test yesterday and the max power consumption out of the plug was 410W running 3dmarks and max of 380W when playing games

CPU v1.2 4.4Ghz 4770K
GPU 780@1200Mhz (no voltage change)

What do you guys think ?

Hey dodo

Seasonic make quality units and 750w should be fine for 780 SLI. The minimum recommended PSU for 780 SLI is 650w so you'll be fine. Just check your PSU came with an extra 8pin and 6pin PCIe power connectors as well.

But if the extra cables you will be using came from a separate set, can you actually connect them to the PSU at the same time as the current PCIe power cables? If the PSU only comes with one set of PCIe cables, there's a fair chance it only has one set of connectors on the PSU.

Edit: I just checked the tech specs of your PSU and there is indeed enough sets of PSU connectors for SLI, I just thought it was best to check :D
