Scan Computers PR Meltdown on Facebook

Never had a problem with them ever and neither have my friends, even when it came to RMA ing a power supply , also they're no where near as bad as ooo 90% of companies out there. These people think they have it bad when they've never dealt with some of the smaller companies out there on the internet. Phoning the company is the only way to sort things out, it worked with aria when they've screwed up in the past. Going onto social media is not an effective way to get things sorted.


The ego of some of the people on that page, kind of tempted to almost argue for scan...

yeah scan have never failed me, i ordered the wrong psu once they game me an rma an switched for me no problems, an i got my psu withing a few days of sending my wrong order back
 
That guy seems a bit OTT to me :D
I've had probs with SCAN before but i've also had good experiences with them.

No retailer is perfect, these type of things happen with ALL of them and anyone who tries to tell you they don't are full of crap.
 
SCAN have always been amazing for me, always the fastest to deliver, always the right item and everything.

Only thing I don't use them for is WC gear, because they don't have a great selection, so I buy from SpecialTech who are also awesome :D
 
I honestly don't see the Scan guy as being unreasonable, despite the two people just being dicks, the Scan guy remains resolute and is still offering help. It's not his fault if Scan couldn't find the fault reported by the customer, so what if the customer is just an idiot and put his CPU in the PCI slot or plugged his HDD into the 24 Pin power connector or something xD
 
Well if they can't figure out how to do basic trouble shooting, someone should relieve them of their hardware.

I've dealt with (the now dead) WAE+, these people have it easy and as such shouldn't be complaining. Did they have to nag and threaten Scan to get their parts? No. Did their parts arrive from a different country in a box covered in dust after 3 weeks of back and forth? No. People like that wind me up and give pc building a bad name :( , nice to see that no one here is like that though.

Ahh yeah, fair enough then, one of my 'friends' IRL was like that, the funniest thing is, he was usually wrong about whatever it was; thankfully he's gone to a different uni to me so I'm rid of him lol
 
I think its a load of BS.

Scan is the best customer service I have had with any company full stop, all problems have been quickly resolved with free rma shipping and quick turnaround. I will always shop with them, even if it's at a price premium.

I know I have recently fallen folly to a "bad" trader due in part to not talking with friends first about the etailer (sorry Richard) but they are not all bad and the vast majority will go out of their way to make sure you're happy with your service but this idiot acting up with Scan is just scouting for an argument and the trolls are simply not helping at all.
 
i think its outrageous the way those idiots are acting.
in my opinion the Scan guy is being totally reasonable and trying to help despite the attitude of the customer
