Hi,

I bought a Antec 620 from Scan about 3 weeks ago this went wrong not long ago and i phoned up and booked a RMA for the 16/06/2011. Here is the 16/06/2011 and im playing I spy well i certainly wasnt spying any courier which never turned up i phoned up complained some soppy idiot on the end that sounded if he was asleep.

Changed collection to 20/06/2011 well here it is and guess what scan never even booked it. Phoned up again and they BLAMED ME the cheek. Now have to waste a third day sat in to wait for a courier that might actually turn up.

My lesson is to not buy anything from scan not even if you life depends on it as if you have to RMA it they half the time wont answer the phone and try to blame you saying you never set it up correctly.

Ebuyer all the way RMA my MB courier came next day day later phone call from ebuyer saying would you like a replacement or a refund i said refund and i got the money back within 30mins. took 2 days, Scan = 4 and counting and not even collected it!.

Sounds like sh***y couriers to me, not necessarily scans fault. I've bought loads of stuff from them over the years and not had a single problem. They even text me when the courier was on his way.

well yes the courier not turning isnt there fault but not re booking it when they told me they would and also blaming me from the booking mistake is their fault.

ok. i've had good service from all internet shops. Ebuyer has helped alot, I've used Ebuyer most. Asking for advice from telephone service we have to be cautiouse because they don't know everything and don't respect that sometimes and make mistakes. I've got info from them, researched it onliner, Wiki etc and learn't they were wrong.

Ye SCAN courier txt us with delivery time

like 'good morning, we aim to deliver your item between 10:30 - 11:30am. thank you. Regards SCAN'

I've Had about 5 RMA's with scan and they were perfect all the time, so I wouldn't just hold a grudge just for one incident

I have had one bad experience with scan the first time I used them which was also the last.

I was lied to, spoken very rudely to on the phone even though I was very polite and hung up on as soon as I had finished giving them my Debit card number, as soon as I gave them the last digit *click*

I never did anything to give them reason to be rude to me on the phone and hanging up on me was just not called for at all. Not saying Scan is all bad but that was the experience I had with them and I won't be using them again.

Couriers can and do suck cheesey toes, with fungal infections, on the best of occasions. But on a Saturday, they, along with the royal mail, do like to suck all the toes.

Scan I've got nothing but good to say about them over the last decade, 1000s of pounds and some good rma handling.

Only used Scan once, and they were in my experience very good. Admittedly no experience of cancellation/RMA, so can't comment on that. Was impressed by the volume of emails from them, even down to what time the item would arrive.

Used Ebuyer most frequently, and again never had to RMA, but have done cancellations and generally had no problems, and the money has gone back into my account the day I cancelled or the day after.

Aria, however, were near impossible to communicate with, don't answer enquiries through the contact us form or emails, then took nearly a fortnight to process a refund. The only contact I managed to get with them was through their forums. I know a lot of people here swear by them, and there's a link between here and there, but personally I'm not sure I'd bother with them again unless I was 100% sure that I wanted the item.

but with ebayer they keep you on hold for 45 mins, calling isnt free you know!

and scan used em twice, second time they were good but first time sold me something that was out of stock, but y'know mistakes happen even ARIA did that to me once

ye ebuyer did that many times. I complained and they kinda improved, i think they record who phones needing RMA and milk the call charge. Many retailers have dOrKs somewhere in the call centre

What is it with you and scan?

I've bought a bunch of stuff off scan, I think they're great

Fairly well priced, shipping can be a bitch sure, but the items come pretty quick and the courier they use are pretty good too.

No complaints so far.

Paid a visit to scan the other month with my friend because its only a 15min drive from where i work, very impressive store, can't say the same for the lady on the counter though, she could hardly speak a word of english, and took me 4 attempts to tell her my post codes, she got my friends last name wrong about 3 times and he had to spell it out slowly for her. When i was buying my GPU, paying by card, you have to do that secure online payment thing that most online banks do these days in the uk where you enter certain digits of your password, it took her about 5mins to realise that i was the one who needed to do that part...

I have had s similar issue with SCAN but this time is with delivery the courier count find a clearly labelled Green door with the company name on it after two attempts, called up and they blamed me not stating the address correctly which i did so i cancelled and got my refund back .....

Ebuyer has been the best e-tailer i have used bar none and there RMA is top notch.

Have bought loads of kit from Scan.............also done some RMA's..............got to say I've not had a problem.
